When you reach the S.T.A.R.S office in Resident Evil 2 Remake, you’ll find a desktop computer (PC) and an armory. However, you’re not able to open the armory door from the computer, because it requires some authentication. The authentication needed is a USB Key Dongle. When you try to access the computer, it keep saying “Failed to authenticate account”.
To get the USB Key Dongle, you need to first finish the Statue Puzzle and get the emerald gem.
How to Get Green Club Key
Next, is the Green Club Key for the Observation Room. You can get this key from the Boiler Room. This requires some progression to reach the area. (This part will make nemesis follow you anywhere after turning off the fire in the Helicopter, which are the only way to go out).
How to Get the USB Key Dongle
Once you have the emerald gem and the green key. You can now proceed to the Observation Room. From here, the Bejeweled Box is placed on the table, you need to get it.
You need to combine both of the Emerald Gem and the Bejeweled Box to get the S.T.A.R.S Badge.
Once you have the S.T.A.R.S Badge, inspect the item to reveal the USB Key Dongle.
Finally, you can now go back to the PC at the S.T.A.R.S Office and plug the USB. You’ll get a new weapon Lightning Hawk from the Armory once you opened it.
