How to Send Stars in Facebook Live Stream

Facebook just recently added a feature to its existing live stream feature that supports Gamers and Streamers, a way for the viewer to give a tip or donation to their favorite live streamers on Facebook. The new feature is what they call a Stars, it is added together with their Facebook Gaming Creator program.

For now, Facebook is testing these new features to gaming creator and when you watch a Livestream on their Facebook. You should see a pop-up window saying “New! Send Free Stars. You can send Stars you receive during this stream to GamingPH to support them and the content they create. Use them during this stream before they disappear.“. You will be given 100 stars as a starter pack to send it to your favorite streamers.

When you run outs of Star, you can purchase Stars from Facebook. A 100 Star tip cost around $14.99 or PHP 74.99, a higher amount of Stars are also discounted up to 25%:

  • 25 Stars – $0.49 PHP 17.79
  • 60 Stars – $0.99 or PHP 42.70
  • 100 Stars – $1.49 or PHP 71.19
  • 378 Stars – $5.38 or PHP 267.81 (5% Off)
  • 795 Stars – $13.24 or PHP 535.63 (10% Off)
  • 2,235 Stars – $26.80 or PHP 1,339.07 (20% Off)
  • 4,465 Stars – $53.44 or PHP 2,678.14 (20% Off)
  • 9,525 Stars – $107.84 or PHP 5,356.28 (25% Off)

How to Send Stars in Facebook Live Stream

First, the live streamers must be in the Facebook Gaming Creator program in order for its viewer to send a tip. To check, watch its live stream in full-page mode by pressing the date underneath its name. And there should be a Star icon on the right side of your comment box.
