TINY METAL 2 Revives Turn-Based Strategy With Naval Battles, Co-Op Play, and Enhanced Visuals

Written by

AREA 35 has officially unveiled TINY METAL 2, the sequel to its grid-based tactical war series inspired by classic Advance Wars-style gameplay. Players once again take command of land, air, and—this time—naval forces in strategic battles that demand smart resource management, careful unit deployment, and decisive strikes to claim victory.

The campaign follows Major Nathan Gries of the Artemisian Army after his warship is seized by the Corsario pirates, exiles of the Great War who now seek to dominate the seas. With support from the White Fang mercenaries, Nathan is drawn into a new global conflict threatening the stability of Artemisia, Zipang, and beyond.

Story scenes are brought to life by animation studio SAFEHOUSE (Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance) and a cast of acclaimed Japanese voice actors including Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Daisuke Ono, and Kenichiro Matsuda.

For the first time in the series, naval warfare becomes central to the action, with submarines, battleships, carriers, and transport vessels joining the battlefield. Alongside this, players can choose from over 15 commanders—including 10 new faces—each with unique buffs and Ultra Powers. Full couch co-op and online support lets players team up in Campaign or Skirmish maps, while massive 8-player online battles with ranking systems push the competitive side further than ever before.

You can now wishlist the game on Steam at https://store.steampowered.com/app/3003430/TINY_METAL_2/
