Frozen Planet II is now Available on Minecraft Education Edition

The newest update to Minecraft, the Frozen Planet II is a new world of the series where students can learn more about the animal kingdom in the icy part of earth like Polar bear, Killer whale and many more. This partnership between BBC Earth and Mojang is a new world of opportunities for students to learn with an interactive experience.

With the new content, educators and parents can create lesson plans based on this new content, such as what animals live in the area and how they’ve adapted to the extreme environment and what might happen if climate change continues.

Minecraft is a game in which players build and explore a block-based world. Educators have used the game to teach math, science, and history which lead into the creation of Minecraft Education Edition. It is a separate edition that helps kids learn about various topics in a fun and engaging way available for educators and students. The game can be played on computers, tablets, or smartphones.

How to Play Frozen Planet II in Minecraft Education Edition

To start with, you must have an access to a Microsoft 365 account with a license to Minecraft Education Edition. This can be acquired by students who have access to this platform from their school or those with DepEd Microsoft 365 accounts. Those do not fall from this condition, can purchase a license at https://education.minecraft.net/en-us/licensing.

After the installation is complete, you can access the new content Frozen Plant II at New & Featured > Frozen Planet II Frozen Worlds. The download size is 245 MB.

Once you are in the Frozen Planet II world, there will be a notification saying “For the best possible experience, switch to 3rd person”. Just press F5 to switch to 3rd person.

After that, you can now enjoy the new content in Minecraft Education Edition and explore the icy part of the Earth.
