How to Catch Pet

Catching a pet in Ragnarok X Next Generation is by chances, there is a big chance that you’ll not get the pet every time you tried to catch them. But there is a way to increase this chances by lowering the HP (Health) of the monsters. However, since most of the pet are in low level, you tend to eliminate them with a single hit and can no longer catch them. This is where the Slingshot comes in.

You need to equip the Slingshot that will precisely deals certain amount of damage to the monster. However, you need to purchase a projectile as an ammo for your Slingshot, this projectile can be bought from the Pet Merchant.

To equip it, just go to your backpack (Under Equipment tab), find the Slingshot and equip it.

Once equip, you need to pick the projectile that you want to use. Just click the additional circle on the controls and select the available projectile.

Before hunting, make sure you have a taming item. You need at least 6 pcs of it for you to tame the monster. Check the list of Pet and Taming Item below.

Now, go to the wild and hunt for your favorite pet. Once you’re in the area, click the pet you want to catch. Once selected, deal damage to them as lower as you can (Make sure their health HP is at less than 10%).

Once the monsters HP is less than 10%, you can now use the Tame skill to catch them.

The slot machine will now play and once you’re lucky, you’ll be able to catch the pet. (Note that this method will not guarantee of getting the pet by 100%, but it will likely increase the chances of catching it)

How to use Pet (Help in Fight)

For you to use the pet you just catch, you just simply go to the Pet menu.

From there, select the pet you want to use and click the Fight button.

How to recall Pet

If you decided to not use the pet in the adventure, you can also do that.

To unused the pet, simply click the Recall button.

How to Level up your Pet

Pet can be level up and when level up, you can evolve your pet into a new breed of monsters which has higher stats. To level up the pet, you need to increase its Favor. This is by petting your pet or giving them gift of their favorite foods.

To increase the favor, just go to Pet, then click the monster and click the Interact.

From here, you can give the pet favorite food or gifts. You can also use the pet for free which gives the pet +20 favors. Note that you can only interact your pet up to 10 times per day.

How to Evolve Pet

Pet can be evolve when they reach their Favor level to 50. Once you have reach this requirement you can then evolve the pet. But you need additional item called Pet Advancement Pill and pet’s favorite item to evolve them and evolving is not guaranteed as there is only 10% success rate per 10 x Pet Advancement Pill.

Evolving the pet will reset their level to 1 with new stats, favor, rank and skills.

Awakening Pet

To activate the awakening slot, you need a skill sheet to enable it. However, you can only obtain it from Gacha (Pet Book Vending Machine).

You can awaken each pet up to 3 slots. and Each awaken cost around 2 skill sheet and 5,000 Zeny.
