Gardening is one of the life’s feature in Ragnarok X Next Generation (RoX) in which you can use to gather plants for cooking, crafting and NPC favor. The plant you harvested from gardening is also one of the key of making fortunes in RoX, by trading it with crystals at the exchange center. But did you know that this is the most meticulous tasked you will be ever do in the game? because gardening is not that simple, it has a schedule to follow for you to gather a fully grown plant, plus doing this tasked can only be done manually.

Garden Grow Schedule
First of all, we have to understand how the time works in Ragnarok X Next Generation, a 1 full-day cycle in the game is equivalent to 4 hours in real life. The 1 full-day is divided in four different time of the day which are the morning, day, evening and night.
The time of the day also has specific length, morning and evening that will last for 40 minutes (real-life), while the day and night will last longer for 1 hour and 20 minutes (real-life). For reference, below you can find the whole schedule cycle.

For plants that gains 20 Gardening EXP while gathering, those plants will only grow during Morning and Evening. Usually these plants are use for crafting materials and enchantments.
While for those plants that you can earn 1 to 10 Gardening EXP, those will grow during Day and Night. These plants are usually use as an ingredients for cooking or bait for fishing.
Drizzle (Raining Weather)
In those schedule, you might also notice about the “Drizzle“, a raining weather where plants can grow rapidly. This drizzle will only last for 20 minutes and it will only occur once to twice for 1-full day cycle. Meaning in every 4 hours in real life, it will only appear once or twice.
What special with the Drizzle weather is that you can harvest a plant unlimitedly as long it is the time for the plant to grow. We will discuss this more on the later part.
How to Gardening
Since we already have a basic idea with the schedule, the time of the day and its grow time. We can now proceed with the actual gardening.
During the initial quest, you probably has basic idea of gardening. Locating the plant, clicking the Garden button, and that’s it. It will gather the plants you harvested and you’ll get to keep it. But always remember that each of these plant has a specific time of day for it to grow. If you tried to harvest them not on their schedule, a pop up message will appear saying “This plant will not grow in the current period”.
You can easily check the plants’ growth time at the right corner of your game screen, click the Arrow Toggle button, then Life > Gardening. You may also check our list of gardening materials below.
At the Gardening, select the plant that you want to harvest and the Growth time will be displayed. There should be a useful indicator that says “Can Gather” or “Gather in ??:??”. You can also find here the exact location where you can gather those plants (Clicking those area will automatically path find the location).
Take note that, you need a Stamina for you to do gather these crops, the amount of stamina depends on the plant you are gathering.
Normal Growth
When you harvest, you will be moved to the Channel 1 of that map together with other players. Since everyone is in one channel, players has to compete to harvest on the limited spots. Each of this spots has limited number of plants allocated. When it runs out, players has to wait as it will grow and matured for 22 seconds making it harder to harvest during the normal growth.
The common problem with the normal growth is that most of the plants can easily be depleted as many players will gather those plants. A single spot can only give one plant per player and if you’re not lucky you’ll end up getting an message saying “All has been gathered”.
Drizzled Growth (Unlimited Harvest)
When you are gardening during the Drizzle raining weather, you no longer have to compete with other players as harvesting the plant is unlimited and you don’t have to steal other players spot for harvesting. You can get as many as you want, but this will only lasts for just 20 minutes.
Take note that, drizzled will only appear in a map for 1 to 2 times in a 1-full day in-game or 4 hours in real life.
Indoor Growth
There are some plants specially on level 4 that will be grown only indoor like inside the caves and dungeon. Since it is indoor, there is no Drizzle weather on these area which makes these plant stuck as Normal growth where you will be competing with other players to harvest them.
Manual and Macros Automation
The only catch with gardening is; it requires your attention to do it, you need to manually click the button for you to harvest it. Unlike fishing, that has special item to auto catch fish, in gardening there is nothing.
If you’re thinking of using Macros to automate this tasked. Well, Ragnarok X Next Generation dev are one step ahead of you since there is an anti-bot or clicker measures that will check every time you harvest 10 plants consecutively. Which means you cannot leave your computer farming for those materials as it requires your attention to correctly answer it.
A pop up message will say “As your Activity is low and you’re been gathering frequently, you’ll need to answer a question to verify if you’re playing”. It will then asked you to answer basic mathematical problem. You also need to answer the question in just 30 seconds or else you will be restricted in farming for a few minute. Fail to answer this many times will increment the time of restriction.

Prontera
Plant materials in the Prontera are essential during your first week in the game. You can make a lot of fortune out of this crops by exchanging it with Crystals.

Luminary Soulstone I
On the list, you’ve find Luminary Soulstone I and when you click the Common area on the RO’s Skill gardening, it will just lead you to major cities Base and it will just do nothing. We do not know if this is just a bug or will be available on the future update (But we will try to check with the ROX’s dev team for this one for clarification).
However, you can get Luminary Soulstone I from mining, it is available on Level 4 at Ore Vein and Rich Vein.
