Apple is shaping how paid game should be in their newest subscription based gaming service the Apple Arcade. One of the highlight of this service is that games here has no in-app purchase, no ads, download anything you want and it works offline. It’s like a Netflix version for gaming and provide premium gaming experience.
Apple also clarifies this move is to compete with the hard to pull off free games in their platform.
“The App Store is the world’s biggest and most successful game platform. Now we are going to take games even further with Apple Arcade, the first game subscription service for mobile, desktop and the living room”, Senior Vice President for Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller said.
Exclusive Games for Apple Arcade
Apple is partnering with different game developers to push 100 new and exclusive games to Apple Arcade. The following are the developers that teamed up with Apple:
- Annapurna Entertainment
- Konami
- LEGO
- Mistwalker Corporation
- SEGA
- Snowman
- USTwo Games
There are more developers not listed above. Below are the list of games that will be available during launch.

- The Pathless
- LEGO Brawls
- How Lava
- Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm

When it is Available and other Features
The rolling out of this features will be later in Fall of 2019, it will be available in more than 150 countries. However, there are no pricing details yet.
The subscription will also works up to six family members.
We all knew, games that are free are flooded with ads and in-app purchase which really destroy the gaming experience of a beautiful games. Finally, Apple is making a move to change this trends and let’s hope the Android counterpart will do the same.
