Ragnarok M Eternal Love SEA Community is in Turmoil After Recent Hacks, Dev Not Found

Written by

The first two months of Ragnarok M Eternal Love in South East Asia was a huge hit in the region, with more than 2,000,000+ installs and becoming the top ranked games in Google Play Store; it is perhaps one of the most favorite game of all time. But with the recent hacks and issues of the game, the Official Ragnarok FB Community Group in South East Asia (SEA) is in turmoil with left and right posting regarding issues about third-party tool programs, developers not communicating with the community and now, stepping down of a moderator.

One of the admin finally communicates with the community. Yang Yang Chen posted on the FB group saying “Some of you got ban right? Feel lucky your account still exist? Don’t worry, you are the next. To all addon user, the war started. “. He also added in the comment section “It’s not about you obtain event item or not, once you used any 3rd party addon, you are on the list.
Don’t cry, it will be more
“. It seems the dev finally heard out the voice of the community. Are we now expecting a Thanos’ snap?

Just recently, a volunteered community moderator of the Official Ragnarok M Eternal Love SEA FB group with 90,000 players just stepped down as a moderator of the community as he is the only moderators that received most of the backlash regarding game problems, including false accusations after the recent hacks. Apparently, the devs and admins of the game are nowhere to be found in order to answer all of these queries and concerns and reaching the in-game support system can only get you canned responses. The interesting fact is that this moderator isn’t paid by the company and he works for free to be one. Out of seven admins and moderators listed in FB group, he is the only active moderator and doing a good job in the community.

The community group becomes more toxic, with never-ending posts of different complains from the community; from players refunding their in-game spent money – accusations of other players who use a third-party cheating program – complaints about soft suspensions and – players leaving a negative review in the game product page to voice out their concerns. One of the members posted in the group saying, “Just rated this game 1 star..A youtube live caster should just make a video tutorial on how to refund.. “.

The hottest topic probably is about the soft suspension of those players who were caught using the third-party cheating program. Just this weekend, the official Ragnarok M Eternal Love page announced that they are going to ban players who use the third-party cheating program for 3 to 15 days, and for players who abused it, they will get a permaban.

But that said announcement received a backlash from the community as it is not enough, and it doesn’t solve the problem. It also encourages cheaters to do it again and experiment for new exploits. Unless they become strict and permanently ban players that have used for any means. Players who cheated in the game since day one can quickly get walk away from this banned as it is merely 3 to 15 days. The three days are even useless, as it will stack the unused stamina and those cheating players will be able to get back into the game like nothing happened. Some members also started a poll to know the pulse of the community if they agree to ban those cheaters permanently; 90% of the answers were in favor.

We all knew that the devs are probably working very hard on the background to fix all of the issues in the game, but with their silence and how they handle this situation, they are not just killing the community, but they are also killing the game itself.

Its a shame that the game everybody loves is still very susceptible to this kind of assault. We understand that there are no games that doesn’t have glitches/hacks or whatever you call it., but the dev’s soft-hammer for those who had an access to it shows that they are not even concerned about the community’s pulse. We must learn from the past that no matter how great the game is but exploiters are not getting enough attention, it will eventually die.

It’s simple. Ban players using PCs / Emulators. Majority of hacks and cheats are done via PC. And here we are being told that this is a MOBILE GAME. Exercising free speech. Don’t hate. My opinion. Just facts.

That’s why I noticed only a few players are left playing on the SEA servers. I guess majority are lazy assed wannabe hackers who wants to get the upper hand in the game.
