This problem comes when the image reference you’re working on 3Ds Max becomes pixelated or blurry. Some solution that you can found in the internet is fixing this issue via the Preference Settings > Viewports > Configure Driver, but when you’re using the latest version of 3Ds Max (2014, 2015, 2016 and up) and using the Nitrous Direct3D 11 driver this feature is disabled and cannot check the Match Bitmap Size as Closely as Possible. We found best solution to fixed this problem and its quite easy without installing some script or something, see our complete video guides below.
How to Fixed Pixelated Texture in Nitrous Direct3D 11 (3Ds Max 2017)
- Press the [+] sign on the upper corner of your Viewport
- Then select Configure Viewports…
- Then on Texture Maps, set it to 2048 instead of default value 512. (You may increase this value, if your image are still blurry or pixelated)
- Done!
