Nearly 25 years after the original game launched, Battle Realms: Zen Edition is still receiving support. Its latest v1.60 patch introduces several improvements and fixes, while the classic RTS currently offers 90 Steam achievements.
One of the update’s biggest additions is automatic gameplay-mod sharing in multiplayer. Players can customize unit balancing to suit their playstyle, while anyone joining a modded lobby can download the host’s configuration directly through the game.
The update also improves hardware compatibility, display handling, graphics, audio, translations, and the campaign experience. Several bugs and crashes were addressed alongside tracking fixes for the game’s existing Steam achievements.
