The Glowing Mayflies Field Event in Monster Hunter Outlanders is one of the simpler exploration events you can encounter while roaming the map. Once activated, glowing mayflies will scatter around the event area, and your goal is to shoot them using your bow.
You do not need to land perfect shots for this event. Missing a few arrows is fine, as the main objective is simply to reduce the health of the tree within the time limit. Each glowing mayfly you hit will explode and deal damage to the tree, helping you clear the event.
How to Complete the Glowing Mayflies Event
- Activate the Glowing Mayflies Field Event.
- Wait for the glowing mayflies to scatter around the area.
- Use your bow and shoot the mayflies.
- Each mayfly you hit will explode and damage the tree.
- Keep shooting until the tree’s health is fully depleted.
- Complete the event before the timer runs out.
The event gives you around 1 minute and 15 seconds to finish the objective. Based on the current version, you usually need to shoot around 10 to 15 glowing mayflies to complete it.
For now, the event is fairly easy, though it is still unclear if Glowing Mayflies becomes harder in later maps or higher-level areas. But at its core, the mechanic is simple: shoot the glowing mayflies, make them explode, and deplete the tree’s health before time runs out.
