The Division Resurgence hits PC with full cross-play, but balance questions remain

Written by

The Division Resurgence is now available on PC via early access, expanding its reach beyond mobile as a free-to-play entry in the franchise. Released by Ubisoft, the game brings its cover-based shooting, mission-driven progression, and shared open-world activities to a wider audience, while keeping the same core experience across platforms.

One of its biggest features is full cross-play between PC, iOS, and Android. Players can use a single Ubisoft account to continue their progress on any device and squad up with friends regardless of platform, as long as they’re on the same regional server. This essentially makes Resurgence a unified ecosystem rather than separate versions for each platform.

While cross-play adds convenience, it also raises balance concerns. PC players using mouse and keyboard may have a clear advantage in aiming precision and movement compared to mobile players using touch controls. Unless input-based matchmaking or balancing adjustments are introduced, this gap could affect fairness, especially in competitive modes.
