New Game Project: Age 1000 Is a New Dragon Ball Game Set in a Far-Future Era

Written by

Dragon Ball Project: Age 1000 is a mysterious upcoming title that drew attention after it was revealed that Akira Toriyama was deeply involved in its development before his passing. The first trailer introduced a brand-new character designed by Toriyama, capable of transforming into a Super Saiyan and seemingly connected to Goku, sparking theories that he could be a distant descendant in the Dragon Ball timeline.

The title “Age 1000” suggests the story takes place far in the future, opening the door to an unexplored era of the Dragon Ball universe. Interestingly, this setting mirrors Dragon Ball Online, which was also set in the year 1000, making the timeframe feel like a deliberate callback for longtime fans. Beyond the main hero, Toriyama also worked on the designs of several other characters, hinting at a rich new cast waiting to be revealed.

More details about the project remain under wraps for now, but Bandai has confirmed that the latest updates will be unveiled at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 in the U.S. on April 18 to 19. With a new era, new characters, and Toriyama’s creative touch, Age 1000 is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing Dragon Ball projects in years. Stay tuned for more information.
