With just days left before the highly anticipated early access release of inZOI on Steam, the game’s developer team has announced decisive measures against piracy and unauthorized modifications (mods). Unauthorized mods, in particular, can significantly detract from the intended experience by introducing inappropriate, irrelevant, or harmful content, such as unrelated characters or themes.

In a recent announcement, the inZOI Team highlighted growing concerns regarding unauthorized copies, downloads, and mods that threaten both player safety and the integrity of the game. The announcement specifically noted an increase in websites offering illegal downloads and unauthorized game modifications, both of which pose significant security risks.

“Downloading the game or mods from unauthorized sources not only compromises personal data and account information but also poses serious threats to the user’s devices,” the team cautioned. They further clarified their position on mods, stating that while creativity and player-driven enhancements are valued, any unauthorized or harmful modifications that affect gameplay balance or security will not be tolerated.

To combat these issues effectively, inZOI developers emphasized that distributing illegal copies, unauthorized mods, or operating illicit download websites are considered severe violations. They confirmed plans to take strict legal actions against such activities.
The outlined violations include:
- Using and/or distributing illegal copies of inZOI
- Manipulating or making unauthorized modifications to game data
- Operating or using illegal download sites
Additionally, inZOI has partnered with CurseForge to offer an official platform for mods at launch. “inZOI is committed to encouraging easier mod creation and artistic expression from players,” said inZOI producer and director Hyungjun Kim. “By partnering with CurseForge, we are providing a dedicated platform for inZOI mods, ensuring that our community has the best tools and resources to bring their creative visions to life. This collaboration reflects our dedication to fostering a vibrant modding community within inZOI.”

The developers encouraged players to stay vigilant and report any suspicious content, unauthorized mods, or illegal distributions directly to inZOI’s Customer Support.
“Our highest priority is maintaining a fair and safe gaming environment. We remain dedicated to ensuring every player has an enjoyable experience without fear of piracy, unauthorized mods, or exploitation,” concluded the inZOI Team.

With the early access release approaching fast, players are urged to download inZOI exclusively via official channels on Steam.
