Pre-register Coming Soon! Crystal of Atlan in Manila: Offline Beta Reveals Co-op Gameplay, Immersive Combat, and Character Classes

Written by and

VI-GAMES recently hosted an exclusive trial play event for their upcoming Magickpunk MMO Action RPG, Crystal of Atlan (COA), at the High Grounds Cafe in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines on February 15, 2025. The event attracted a diverse group of game enthusiasts, media representatives, and content creators. It also announced that the pre-register for OBT will be coming soon in March! So stay turned!

Event Highlights and Experience

Attendees began the event by signing in, receiving loot bags, and taking Instax photos at the booth while enjoying free food and mingling. Kicking off the day, hosts Carolyn and Juicey Brucey energized the crowd with dynamic introductions, setting the event’s vision and teasing exciting details about Crystal of Atlan.

After that, the publisher’s marketing director, Lola, took the stage. She offered a behind-the-scenes look at the game’s development and went into detail about its standout features, the upcoming creators program, and what players can expect during the offline beta test.

Players were then invited to try the game at tables set up with both PC and mobile options. This setup highlighted Crystal of Atlan’s smooth cross-platform experience. Gamers could join the same server, interact with each other, and even play together in co-op mode, all while using their preferred device.

Gameplay: A Deep Dive into the World of Atlan

The trial event unveiled the first three chapters of the game along with the challenging Abyss Challenge, providing a glimpse into the expansive narrative and intricate gameplay mechanics. A standout feature was the robust combat system—engineered to deliver ultra-smooth performance with a stunning 120 frames per second – which your high-end monitor will love. This high frame rate meant that every move, attack, and animation was very clear and precise, letting players dive into fast and responsive battles.

Since the trial event set up a dedicated server, everyone could meet and team up to tackle the available chapters: Valley Ruins, Under District, Wonderland, and Abyss I. Our characters were fully leveled and powered up, letting us enjoy the best gameplay experience. After chatting with others, we formed a four-person party to enter the dungeon and work together to defeat the monsters.

The cooperative play felt both challenging and fun, and it really showed how teamwork can enhance the gaming experience. The group effort made the dungeon run exciting but also left us eager to participate in more cooperative challenges in the future. Plus, the enhanced picture quality and immersive sound effects played a big role in making the combat feel real and exciting.

One of the highlights was the air combos. When you launch into an air combo, your character dodges enemy attacks with smooth, flashy moves. These attacks are not only visually striking, but they also feel like they truly hit the enemy, adding a satisfying sense of impact to every blow.

The enemy bosses in the game are equally impressive. They are large, imposing, and designed with unique patterns that make each battle a challenge. Bosses attack in different ways, which means you have to be quick on your feet—evading their moves and planning your own counter-attacks carefully. This mix of evasion and strategy makes the boss fights both thrilling and rewarding.

Additionally, the system supports over 10 skill slots, allowing players to mix and match different attack styles and combos. This gives gamers the freedom to customize their combat approach, whether they prefer rapid air combos or powerful, impactful strikes against tough bosses. All these elements work together to create a dynamic and engaging combat experience.

Diverse Classes and Career Paths

Crystal of Atlan offers four distinct classes, each presenting a unique gameplay style. Every class includes two job transfer options, giving players the freedom to experiment and choose the path that best aligns with their gaming strategy, namely PUPPETEER (Scytheguard, Bladenaiden), SWORDSMAN (Magiblade, Berserker), MUSKETEER (Gunner, Bounty Hunter), and MAGISTER (Elementalist, Warlock). Developers also hinted at exciting new job branches and further options to be introduced during the Open Beta Testing phase, ensuring that there will always be fresh challenges and new strategies to explore.

Looking Ahead

The event concluded with exciting news about the game’s future. Announcements indicated that pre-registration for upcoming phases will begin soon, with further updates to be shared on the official social media channels and website. Interested players are encouraged to join the community on Facebook, Discord, TikTok, and YouTube to stay informed about upcoming releases and exclusive events.

Crystal of Atlan not only provided a sneak peek into its captivating universe but also demonstrated a perfect blend of innovative gameplay mechanics and a well-curated event experience. The trial clearly showed that this game is designed to appeal to both experienced gamers and newcomers alike, setting the stage for what promises to be a standout title in the MMO genre. We can’t wait to dive in again when the game opens for everyone.
