Merry Christmas 2024 Event Guide in Ragnarok X Next Generation (ROX)

The year 2024 is coming to a close, and Ragnarok X Next Generation (ROX) is sending it off with a festive celebration: the Merry Christmas Snow Festive Night Event. This is the final event of the year, and while the structure remains similar to last year’s holiday event, new rewards, costumes, and exclusive items await adventurers this time around.

This 14-day event begins today and runs until January 2, 2024, at 5 AM (effectively ending on January 1, 2024). During these two weeks, players will have the opportunity to complete daily quests, participate in festive activities, and earn rare items, including special mounts and costumes.

So, here is the guide for the event.

Event Items and Costumes

Event 1: Winter Sign-In (Daily Sign-in Rewards)

The first part of the Holy Night Christmas Event is the Winter Sign-In, and it’s as straightforward as it was in previous years. All you need to do is head to Lutie and interact with NPC Santa each day to receive festive rewards.

How to Participate

1. Go to the Lutie map.
2. Find NPC Santa.
3. Accept the Winter Sign-In quest daily.

Here are the rewards you’ll get for daily as well as for the whole event.

Event 2: Epic Journey

The second part of the Holy Night Christmas Event is the Epic Journey. This event features six different tasks, which are similar to last year’s objectives, including activities like collecting fireworks, mining minerals, and defeating specific monsters. While the tasks may feel a bit like chores, completing them will net you valuable rewards.

How to Participate

1. Check the Event Schedule for the current task.
2. Complete up to 5 objectives per day to maximize your rewards.
3. Track your progress through the event interface.

By completing 5 objectives each day, you’ll earn the maximum of 70 Sweet Winter Dream Boxes and 42 Witch’s Staffs over the 14-day event period.

The tasks will rotate based on the event schedule. Below is a guide to the six available tasks and tips for completing them efficiently.

Surprise Delivery	You need to collect a Christmas gift from Gingerbread Reinder that is scattered across the Lutie map, then submit those to Gingerbread Deliveryman. You need to collect 40 Christmas gift to max out the rewards. Or 8 times back and forth. You can only do this event one time, so make sure to fulfill 8 round trip delivery to get the full rewards. Event of Celebration (Not recommended to do this as the chance of dropping a  Lost Firework is very low. Additionally, you will be competing with other players to collect these materials, which can be very hard and tedious. This is only recommended for classes like Ranger and Mechanics)	Eliminate Cookie Bandit and Myst Case Bandit from the Toy Factory and you’ll have a chance to get  Lost Firework. These are different from the regular monster you found in the map. You need to collect  120 Lost Firework to max out the daily rewards.	8 x  Holly Leaf (A chance to get Warg Breath)
Celebration Commencement	Set off a Firework Box that are scatted in Lutie map near the Christmas tree. You need to set off 18 Firework Box to max out the daily rewards.	6 x  Holly Leaf (A chance to get Warg Breath)
Nightmare Cruiser	Eliminate Nightmare Cruiser in the Toy Factory. You need to eliminate 40 Nightmare Cruiser to max out the daily rewards. You can party to easily complete this objective.	8 x  Holly Leaf (A chance to get Warg Breath)
Energy Armament	Obtain  Energy Fragment x1/x3/x5 by gathering  Energy Crystals scattered at the Lutie map near the Church area (bottom left corner of the map). Submit these items to NPC Gingerbread Factory Manager. You need to obtain 18  Energy Fragments to max out the daily rewards.	6 x  Holly Leaf (A chance to get Warg Breath)
Warg Tracking (Not recommended due to the very low chance of obtaining Warg Breaths, making it the most time-consuming option)	The Warg Breath you have collected through the daily event can be submitted to NPC Evelyn at the Toy Factory. Challenge Garm	This is an instance event wherein similar to the previous Blazing rune event but much easier. You just need to reach certain damage and minimum players death to get a ranking. You need to make 39.6 billion damage to Garm with atleast 1 death to get SSS rank.	20 x  Holly Leaf 3 x  Sweet Winter Dream Box

Event 3: Game Invasion Incident (Daily Quests)

The third event in the Holy Night Christmas Event is the Game Invasion Incident, a familiar challenge from previous years. This year, however, there’s a slight change: the event is now scheduled for a single time slot, running from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (Manila Time) each evening.

How to Participate

1. During the event window, join the Garm Boss Instance.
2. Deal as much damage as possible while minimizing your death count.
3. Higher damage and fewer deaths mean better rewards!

Realistic Goals and Strategy

Achieving an SSS rating is exceptionally challenging unless you or your party members are heavily geared or high-level players, commonly known as “whales” or “semi-whales.” For most players, reaching an S or SS rating is a practical and rewarding goal.

Tips to Maintain Your Rating

• Avoid Dying: Deaths significantly impact your rating. Focus on staying alive by evading Garm’s attacks and using defensive skills.
• Survive Until the Timer Ends: Prioritize survival over damage if necessary. Sometimes, staying alive longer yields a better rating than dealing more damage.
• Use Healing and Buffs: Stock up on potions and buffs to boost survivability during the fight.
• Positioning: Stay aware of Garm’s attack patterns and maintain safe positioning throughout the battle.

If you can consistently achieve an S or SS rating, you’re already securing a solid reward outcome. Keep your focus on survival, and you’ll make the most of this event.

Event 4: Odin Burn

The next event is the Odin Burn, you can get event materials by burning Odin. Not sure if the limit is the same as last year. But here are the data from last year:

The next event is some kind of gacha box, spending for atleast PHP 569 to have a slim chance of getting the costume or PHP 1,490 for a slim chance of getting the mount.
