MidSummer Cram School Event Guide in Ragnarok X Next Generation (ROX)

Following the wrap-up of its momentous 2nd-anniversary event, Ragnarok X Next Generation (ROX) moves ahead with a refreshing new in-game occasion designed for both virtual students and teachers alike. The Midsummer Cram School event has kicked off, particularly interesting with the Philippines player base as they enter their summer break.

The event quest spans over 12 days, with daily refreshes starting from today, July 18, and continuing until July 29, 2023. Note that we’re not including July 30 in the count as the event concludes at 5AM on that day (which marks the end of the last refresh day). The last day to exchange the points material is up to August 1, 2023 at 5AM.

The latest event invites adventurers to take on an array of both daily and event-long quests. Participants stand a chance to accumulate points upon quest completion, allowing them to convert these points into valuable progression materials and exclusive costumes.

However, the pressing questions that this guide aims to address are: Is this event manageable for the average player? Does it cater to the free-to-play (f2p) community? Or, is it merely another challenging event that’s difficult to complete? Read on as we dive deeper in every section of the event.

Exclusive Costumes

Here are the exclusive costumes that you can get by participating on this event.

Passionate Academy Uniform (Male) Costume Adhesive Bandage (Male Only) Headgear (Face)	For the Passionate Academy Uniform for 300 Knowledge Points, you need to top-up PHP 5,590 or at least 31,800 Diamonds to get it (Including the points you’ll get on the daily quest) – That’s if you have no plan to get the Adhesive Bandage. If both, you need to top up at least PHP 11,180 or 106,000 Diamonds. For the Adhesive Bandage for 180 Knowledge Points at the Material Exchange, you need to religiously complete the daily quest wherein you need to spend 20,000 Crystals each day at the exchange center. Additionally, you can potentially lower your costs by bidding on rare items using Diamonds at the exchange center (though this possibility isn’t factored into our calculations).

Event 1: Daily Practice (Daily Quests)

The daily event for the Midsummer Cram School is composed of 4 quests and most of the quest can be completed by daily grind in the game.

This is a 12-day event set to conclude at 5AM on July 30. If you remain diligent and consistently trade at the exchange center for at least 20,000 Crystals every day, you’ll be able to gather up to 180 Knowledge Points by the end of the event.

Event 2: Scores (Event-Long Quests)

These quests give adventurers the opportunity to complete them repeatedly until they finally reach the end of the last quest.

By participating in the daily and event-long quests, you can amass a total of 1,323 Extracurricular Points. This total is more than sufficient to claim all of the Progress Material packs, which cost a combined total of 1,300 Extracurricular Points.

Can You Get the Costume Without Spending Real Money?

Unfortunately, a mistranslation might lead you to believe that the event costume is obtainable without spending real money. However, the reality is that free-to-play quests in the event-long quest can only grant you up to 49 Knowledge Points, plus 180 on the dailies. This means you can accumulate a total of 229 Knowledge Points, which leaves you short by 71 points for acquiring the event costume. However, acquiring the headgear is doable if you manage to spend at least 20,000 Crystals in the Exchange Center each day.

Despite this, the event still offers numerous Extracurricular Points. These points can be used to claim all of the progression materials that can help you improve your character. This aspect of the event makes it somewhat friendly to free-to-play gamers, especially when it comes to obtaining progression materials. As for costume-is-layf, sorry!
