Ragnarok X Next Generation has released its newest event in celebration of Ramadan, following the footsteps of its predecessor, the Moonlight Blessing event. This year, the 12-day event has been dubbed Sacred Moon Chant, and it bears striking similarities to its predecessor.
In this article, we will guide you on the features that the Sacred Moon Chant event has to offer to all adventurers.
Night Schedule
Most of the event in this quest can be completed at in-game night like the bonus EXP and MVP/Mini hunting. For your reference, here is the schedule of in-game nights on Philippine Time and Server time:
Schedules | Night Exact Schedule (1 hour and 20 minutes) |
Manila, Philippine Time (GMT +8) | 3:40 AM to 5:00 AM 7:40 AM to 9:00 AM 11:40 AM to 1:00 PM 3:40 PM to 5:00 PM 7:40 PM to 9:00 PM 11:40 PM to 1:00 AM |
Server – Default Time (GMT +7) | 2:40 AM to 4:00 AM 6:40 AM to 8:00 AM 10:40 AM to 12:00 PM 2:40 PM to 4:00 PM 6:40 PM to 8:00 PM 10:40 PM to 1:00 AM |
The Initial Quest
To begin the event, players must first complete an initial mission to obtain the “Bless” dance emoticon, which is required for the Blessing event.
To do this, players must visit the NPC Kusari at the Prontera Square fountain, accept, and complete the quest. The task takes only a minute to finish.
Upon completion, players will receive the “Bless” emoticon, which can be used to acquire the 3x daily blessing.
Event 1: Daily Blessing (Moon Chant Suite)
Once you have the Bless emoticon, players should head to the Prontera fountain, where a moon appears above it.
Using the Bless social action will grant players a reward (Note: Currently it looks bugs, it doesn’t work even in day or night), with up to three rewards available per day. Thus, players are encouraged to use the “Bless” emoticon three times daily.
Daily rewards include:
- 1x Moonlight Flag
- 1x Stamina Potion
- 2x Moonlight Crunchy Candy
- 2x Drops of Moonlight
As for the Moonlight Flags, it can be placed anywhere on the map, and both the flag owner and other adventurers can get Drops of Moonlight by interacting with the flag. Each flag offers one reward, with a daily limit of three rewards from flags. As for the Moonlight Crunchy Candy, you can use it to send to your friend and received additional event rewards.
Event 2: MVP Night Hunt (Moon Chant Suite)
During in-game nights, MVP and Mini bosses will undergo mutations, and there’s a chance that they will summon a clone once they are defeated. Clones will respawn at random map locations after 10 minutes and defeating them will give adventurers with a chance to obtain Crescent-Aria Shop exchange materials and Void rewards.
Players can collect clone MVP drops up to three times a day, separate from normal MVP participation. Additionally, Drops of Moonlight can be used to obtain buffs to help defeat the MVPs and Minis. Non-whale players, however, may find this still more challenging.
Event 3: EXP Bonus at Night
During night in-game, players will be able to get up to 130% EXP bonus multiplier when AFK’ing on monsters. Similar to previous year EXP bonus, this one is actually good for players who will burn their Odin as it will also multiply the Odin Base and Job EXP (The recent exp event “Sunday 2x EXP” don’t actually multiply the Odin EXP, but just multiply the default exp you get).
For example, at Megalith, without Odin we can now earn 896 Base and Job EXP during the night, normally it is 828 Base and Job EXP. With Odin’s Blessing active, the bonus is further multiplied, resulting in 6,726 Base and Job EXP instead of the usual 4,968 Base and Job EXP.
It is unclear whether the upcoming Sunday 2x EXP event will also be affected by the Ramadan event bonus which “should – fingers crossed” multiply all of the EXP bonus.
Event 4: Daily Personal and Friend Quests
This quest are similar to the previous event in the game. This one is for Personal quest where you need to complete to get the rewards for it.
There are daily and cumulative quests, the daily quest resets at 6PM PHT / 5PM Server Time. The event is 12 days so, you can complete the Daily quest 12 times.
We have also integrated the friend quest into the list for your convenience. Please note that while the objectives for friend quests can be completed together, the points, unfortunately, is not combined. This means that players will get points separately (Example, both partners completed a quest with 20 Piety, they will only get both 20 Piety each, instead of combined points from previous partner event)

Be cautious when opting for the 75,000 Diamonds recharge, as it will leave you short by 55 Piety points. For the Ketupat, you can still get it on the Odin burn event.

Event 7: Burn Odin for Event Materials
Similar to previous events, the Sacred Moon Chant also features a Burn Odin event, where players can obtain event materials such as Baklava and Ketupat by eliminating monsters. However, keep in mind that there is a cap on the number of event materials you can acquire: a maximum of 200 Baklava and 25 Ketupat. (Please ignore the screenshot below, we are completing the 100k mobs haha!)
Feel free to hunt for these items from any monsters, as they all share the same total chances against Odin Blessing usage, regardless of whether they are small, medium, or large mobs. To optimize your chances of obtaining the event materials, ensure you are in a solo party so that the drop chances are not divided among party members.
For those who are waiting for the mobs’ chances, here are the chances for the event materials based on mobs’ sizes:
Event Materials | Monster Chances | Average Estimate Loot (4,000 Odin Blessings) |
Baklava (Rare) | Large Monsters (6.75%) Medium Monsters (4.5%) Small Monsters (2.25%) | Large Monsters (91 pcs) Medium Monsters (93 pcs) Small Monsters (90 pcs) |
Ketupat (Extra Very Rare) | Large Monsters (0.9%) Medium Monsters (0.6%) Small Monsters (0.3%) | Large Monsters (12 pcs) Medium Monsters (13 pcs) Small Monsters (13 pcs) |
To max out the daily limit of 200 Baklava and 25 Ketupat, you need more or less 8,918 Odin Blessings. (We are not sure if the chances of getting these materials during night will increase the chances – haven’t tested)
