Christmas Event Guide in Ragnarok X Next Generation (ROXMas)

In just few hours Christmas will begin and before that, Ragnarok X Next Generation (ROX) finally drops their Christmas event in the game, calling it as ROXMas. The new event introduces two new maps, the Lutie (known as Gingerbread City), and Toy Factory. Adventurer will also get a chance to take a picture with Santa Clause as he will be in the Lutie to collect the materials he needed for the event in exchange of a gift packs.

In this guide, we will walk you through each event and help you get the maximum rewards.

How to get more Cute Cookie

The most important mats for this event are the Cute Cookie, as it’s the item you need in order to exchange for event costumes, mounts and MVP cards.

All event activity will drop Cute Cookie, here are the details:

Event Costumes

For costume is life peeps, the following is a list of costumes you can get exclusively from this event.

You can get these costumes from the following event activity:

• Reindeer Hood – Repair the Sleigh (Submit materials 150 Times)
• Other Costumes – Exchange Shop 250 to 700 Cute Cookie per each

Event 1: Defeat Baby Garm

For the first event, it is the daily quest where you will need to talk to the NPC Christmas Envoy (Lotie Entrance) at the Prontera Square. It will also serve as your entrance to the new map Lutie (Gingerbread City) and Toy Factory.

When you start playing the new maps, you will be given a series of tasks to complete. You just need to follow the quest until you defeated baby garm and you’ll be able to get the rewards at the end. The rewards include:

• Solid Brass
• Cute Cookie
• Fir Plank

These rewards can be exchanged for materials from the event-exclusive Exchange shop.

Event 2: Christmas Hide and Seek (Where to find the Clown)

Next is finding the Clown in the Lutie map (Gingerbread City), this clown will spawn on Channel 1 and you must talk to the clown to get the rewards.

Talk to the Christmas Clown and you will get the following rewards:

• 10 x Cute Cookie
• 20 x Fir Plank
• 2 x Solid Brass

You can only get these rewards once per day.

Location of the Christmas Clown

In every server, the Christmas Clown will spawn in a random location on Channel 1 of Lutie (Gingerbread City) every hour starting at 30 minutes past the hour (eg 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3,30, etc..). Based on our experience, the Clown will appear after 30 to 45 minutes on each spot.

We have updated this guide and remove the live location, instead here are the location where the Clown usually hiding.

Event 3: Defend Toy Factory

This is a boss hunt for the new MVP Gram similar to the MVP/Mini. However, the rewards for this boss hunt are geared toward whales and players at the top rank only. But f2p player can still get the event materials such as Cute Cookie, Solid Brass and Fir Plank.

Every hour, the Toy Factory will spawn an MVP for players to deal with. In our case at the Opera Phantom, the MVP Gram is at level 35 and not sure if this level will be increased just like the other MVP.

Here’s a list of the rewards you can get from the MVP hunt:

• MVP Cards (Confirmed, everyone has a chance to get MVP cards)
• Solid Brass

The good news is the MVP Participation bonus will not be affected when doing MVP Gram. You can get up to 5 x Solid Brass per day by hunting Garm. You can exchange the Solid Brass to Santa to get up to 8pcs of Cute Cookie, translating to 35 Cute Cookie Per Day.

Event 4: Repair the Sleigh

For this event, you will have the opportunity to help Santa fix the Sleigh. You will need to collect a number of event materials, which can be obtained from the event. You need to send these mats to Santa in Lutie (Gingerbread City).

Here is the list of materials you need to collect:

• 1 x Solid Brass
• 10 x Fir Plank

Once you send the materials to Santa, you’ll receive an item Sleigh Repair Lucky Box that gives you a chance to receive items from the event instantly – if you are lucky.

• 0.0008% chances to get one of the following:
  • Garm Card
  • Garm Baby Card
  • Nutcracker Noble Guard
  • Nutcracker War Horse
• Guaranteed to get the following:
  • 3 to 7 pcs of Cute Cookie
• Guaranteed to get one of other ROX mats:
  • Gacha Coin Selection Pack
  • Advanced Gacha Coin Selection Pack
  • Elemental Converter
  • Level 1 Mining materials

There is also a milestone reward when you reached a number of times you send materials to Santa.

• 50 Times – 3 x Sleigh Repair Lucky Box
• 75 Times – 5 x Sleigh Repair Lucky Box
• 150 Times – Reindeer Hood

Event 5: Odin Burn

Just like the previous event, this one will also have an Odin burn event where you will eliminate any monsters in the wild and you will obtain event materials.

However, there is a limit of getting the mats per day:

• 20 x Cute Cookie
• 40 x Fir Plank
• 2 x Solid Brass

Unfortunately, we cannot provide exact chances of each monster dropping these items as we are celebrating holidays (too much time to get it done). However, you can go to small monsters and loot for these items, the probability for each Odin blessing is 0.27% for Cute Cookies, 0.03% for Solid Brass and 0.53% for Fir Plank. Merry Christmas!

Transmog Unlimited Loot

During the event, you’ll also have a chance to get a ton of transmog items. Using these items allows you to disguise yourself as Cookie, Cruiser or Myst anytime you want. The item has no expiration date, so it is safe to say that this item is permanent.

All you have to do is to eliminate the monsters in the Toy Factory and you’ll have a chance to get these transmog item everytime you eliminate them. There is no limit so get as many as you want.
