Remember Alone in the Dark, a survival horror game released in 1992? Well, now it’s back. A reimagining of the classic game, Alone in the Dark, has just had its first trailer announced. The publisher THQ Nordic and the developer Pieces Interactive posted a new trailer for their game on YouTube and listed it on Steam.
Alone in the Dark is a reboot of the original third-person survival horror game and is set to be a love letter to the groundbreaking title. It will let players experience a haunting story through the eyes of one of two protagonists. Players will be able to choose between Edward Carnby or Emily Hartwood as they explore their environment, fight monsters, solve puzzles and uncover the uneasy truth of Derceto Manor.
The trailer, while short, gives a good taste of the atmosphere players can expect in the game, and it looks like fans of the original game are in for a treat. With its Southern Gothic setting and psychological horror elements, Alone in the Dark is shaping up to be a truly chilling experience. It also gives a glimpse of the game’s two protagonists, Edward Carnby and Emily Hartwood.
So far, the trailer is the only thing that has been released for the game. However, it is enough to get a sense of what the game will be like. If you’re a fan of the original game, or of psychological horror games in general, then you should definitely keep an eye on Alone in the Dark.
For those who want this game wish listed, it is now on Steam at https://store.steampowered.com/app/1310410/Alone_in_the_Dark/
