Rockstar Games has officially announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will begin preloading on November 10, 2026, giving players nine days to download the highly anticipated game ahead of its November 19 release.
The game comes with a massive 212GB download size, making it one of the largest game downloads of the year. Players planning to jump into Vice City on launch day should prepare enough storage space and download the game early, especially those with slower internet connections.
Preloading allows players who have digitally preordered the game to download its files in advance, so they won’t have to download the entire game once it officially launches.
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, bringing players back to Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida, featuring protagonists Jason and Lucia.
