What if you could change the past to help your friend solve puzzles in the future? That’s the idea behind The Timeless Child, a free-to-play, 2-player co-op puzzle adventure available now on Steam.
Developed by Timeless Tale, the game takes players to Wells Manor, a mysterious 16th-century villa. The game mechanics involves one player takes the role of Emily Wells, a girl trapped in the past, while the other plays Chris Hunt in the present.
What makes the game interesting is how both timelines are connected. Actions performed in the past by Emily directly affect Chris’s world in the present. Players must communicate, share clues, and coordinate their actions to solve puzzles that neither can complete alone.
The free prologue features five different puzzles that test teamwork, observation, logic, and coordination. It’s a fun challenge for two friends who enjoy solving mysteries together, especially when one small change in the past could hold the answer to a puzzle in the present.
