The new Resident Evil movie trailer follows Bryan, an ordinary medical delivery guy offered double pay to bring a package to Raccoon City General. What sounds like a straightforward assignment quickly becomes a desperate fight for survival.

Instead of following established heroes like Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield, the movie tells an original story through someone completely unprepared for the outbreak. Bryan’s journey feels like the beginning of a new campaign, placing viewers in the position of Player 1 as he discovers Raccoon City’s dangers.

Directed by Zach Cregger, the filmmaker behind Barbarian and Weapons, the movie aims to capture the survival-horror experience of the games while introducing a different protagonist. Resident Evil arrives in theaters on September 18, 2026.
