Winamp releases a new version 5.9 RC1 that supports Windows 11

Winamp, the classic media player, has released a new version Winamp 5.9 RC1 that supports Windows 11. Winamp is a media player for Windows, developed by Nullsoft. It was first launched in 1997 and was acquired by AOL in 1999. Winamp is best known for its simple user interface, support for a wide range of audio and video formats, and Winamp skins which allow users to customize the look of the player.

After 4 years since the release of the last version, Winamp v5.8 Beta, the new version of Winamp includes support for Windows 11 and introduces new features such as an updated interface, improved playback and library management, and support for more audio and video formats. In addition, the new version includes a number of Bug fixes and improvements.

You can even also use the old theme that are known for everyone and brings back memories where every music are stored on their hard drive storage or using the disc album of their favorite band. Unlike today that most music are now streamed online such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and many more music services.
