During the annual 2021 Tencent Games conferences, Tencent finally releases the second gameplay trailer of their newest game Metal Slug Code J that are based on the arcade Metal Slug series. The Metal Slug Code J is the first series in the franchise that will be ported and remake for the mobile devices.
The subsidiary of Tencent Games, Timi Studios are the developer of this game in cooperation with the original publisher and developer of Metal Slug franchise, the “SNK”. The good news is, they will begin beta testing next month, June 2021 in China. However, there are no further details if the beta will be also available in Southeast Asia (SEA).
Based from the gameplay trailer, it shows a stunning remake HD 3D characters of the game with lots of twist from the original title. Other that the Metal Slug 1 remake it also features Metal Slug 2, 3 stages and new stages.
The Metal Slug is a classic 2D platformer action game for arcade machines developed by SNK Corporation in Japan. The first game was released in Japan in 1996 titled Metal Slug: Super Vehicle-001 and the last arcade franchise was release in 2008 titled Metal Slug 7.
