ByteDance, Developer of TikTok signs a contract with Gravity for Ragnarok X Next Generation

A new mobile game is finally arriving on Southeast Asia including the Philippines. The new mobile game is a joint publishing effort with ByteDance Ltd and Gravity Co., Ltd for a new MMORPG mobile game, Ragnarok X: Next Generation which is set to release to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Southeast Asia.

Byte Dance said, “We look forward to combining the business power and infrastructure of global company Byte Dance with its ragnarok IP power and know-how to gain a wide user base and expand accessibility.”

Ragnarok X: Next Generation is a new mobile MMORPG game based from Ragnarok IP. Previously released in China, the game is a full blown 3D environment that retains most of the features from the classic Ragnarok Online and it is being prepared to launch in the second half of 2020 in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

However, Southeast Asian players may need to wait a little bit longer as ByteDance need to do some extra work for the multi-language support.
