Written by

Back in the ’90s, some kids playtime after their school are the Arcade Video Games or Holog-Piso, that likely found near the school in a sari-sari store, or in an eatery with Videoke machines. You play 1 minute of the game by inserting a 1 piso coin or $0.2, and you can either play with the computer AI or asked some bystander in the shop to be your opponent. That’s how we play multiplayer video games before. If you also remember, games on these consoles are 16-bit retro games from SEGA like the Mortal Kombat, Top Gear and Street Fighter.

If you want to feel the nostalgia of those video games, you can play these classic games in Game City Gaming Console. A 16-bit retro gaming console that has two wired controllers and packed with 133 sega games including the games we mentioned earlier. This console is available online and priced at P999.00 or ($20.00).

For the quality of the game controller, it is made in plastic, as well as the buttons. However, the performance and responsiveness of the buttons are just right to play video games without any problem. The cable is also long at 1.5 meter enought to play in coaches.

Here is the main console, it has the reset and power button at the left side corner and the female connector on the right for the controllers. The rest are just for aesthetic.

At the back, you’ll find the connector for the AV cables for your Tand the macro USB for power. The console supports the classic S-Video AV for display and sound, most TV has these kinds of connectors at the back.

Unfortunately, the console doesn’t support HDMI, but you can use an AV Cables to HDMI converter to be compatible with your HDMI supported display.
