Royal E-Sports Masters 2020 in ServerDNA IV, Expects 3000 Participants

ServerDNA IV, the largest gathering of Gamers is almost here and it will be held this weekend in La Meridian, Putrajaya, Malaysia. During the event, It will host one of the event’s tournaments, the Royal E-Sports Masters 2020, a first-ever tournament organized by the Kuala Lumpur Electronics Sports Association (ESKL). It expects about 3,000 competitive participants coming from Malaysia.

The tournament will feature two of the popular competitive games today, the FIFA20 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO).  The overall prize and lucky draws during the weekend’s tournament alone will be racked up to RM 100,000 (1,250,000 PHP) in value.

According to ESKL President Hisham Darus, in addition to the esports competition, the tournament will also host various activities at server DNA-IV including esports management, exhibition, medical and health.

“The tournament will also provide opportunities for esports fans to visit and experience video game activities through the Esports Experience Zone, as well as meeting up with renowned streamers,” Hisham said. “At the same time, Tunku Ismail will also launch the KL Esports Masters 2020 which will offer RM1 million in outstanding cash prizes,” said Hisham.

SEA Games 2019

During the ServerDNA IV, Kuala Lumpur Electronics Sports Association (ESKL) will also introduce the esports athletes lineup that will represent Malaysia in the upcoming SEA Games 2019 in Manila, Philippines. 

Games that will be featured in SEA Games 2019 are the following:

  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
  • Dota 2
  • Arena of Valor
  • StarCraft II
  • Hearthstone
  • Tekken 7

The ESKL has previously hosted regional-level championships on the 14th of April this year for the selection of Malaysian athletes to the Manila SEA Games and the supporting the ES Football Asia Cup at the World Football Summit Asia.
