What is Frost Masquerade Mask (Frost Focus), Ragnarok M Eternal Love

Written by

This month Headwear Gashapon is the SnowWorld FairyTales Crystal Flake set. There is one interesting mask that many players would love to get, the Frost Masquerade Mask where it gives fancy additional attack damage attributes to your character. The mask attributes adds; Atk +30, Atk+3% and it has an additional skill of Frost Focus.

Many players were curious about the Frost Focus and how this skill works. In this article, we will cover what is it all about and how the computation works.

Deposit Reward

The Deposit Reward is also good, it will give your character a permanent Atk +1% and M.Atk +1%. However, this mask doesn’t come with Unlock Reward.

Frost Focus

Unlike other skills, Frost Focus is not a passive nor an active skill where it normally displays a skill icon on the bottom corner of your character’s icon, rather it is a permanent attribute that directly adds to your character’s stats. Meaning, you don’t need to attack enemies or use a skill to activate to get a stacks. What you only need to do is wear the mask and reach the condition of 99 attributes to any of the following; Str, Agi, Vit, Int, Dex, and Luk. Your character will automatically get the additional buff once you’ve done those conditions.

Each total of 99 attributes gives 1 stack of Frost Focus, that gives your character an Atk+10 and Atk +1%. The maximum of 6 Stack means if your Str, Agi, Vit, Int, Dex, Luk reaches 99 attributes, you’ll be getting a total of Atk +60, Atk +6%.

99 Attributes (Base + Bonus)

You don’t need to max out your attribute to 99 in order to get the 1 stack, bonus attributes are also counted. You only need a total of 99 from the attributes including the Base + Bonus to get the stacks.

In this screenshot, we’re able to get 3 stacks of Frost Focus from STR, AGI, and VIT by making the attributes to 99 or above by combining the Base + Bonus.

  • STR (59 + 41) = 100
  • AGI (72 + 28) = 100
  • VIT (59 + 41) = 100

Computation of Frost Focus

In the following computation, we will make several test on how Frost Focus works;

No Frost Focus

If there is no Frost Focus, our characters attack will only get 1509. Given the default ATK is 1435. This computation comes from the default 3% Atk and +30 Atk of the Frost Masquerade Mask.

= (3% of 1435) + 30

= 1478.05 + 30

= 1508.05 or 1509

1 Stack of Frost Focus

In this example, we’ve reach the STR of our character to 99 and it gives our character a 1 stack of Frost Focus, which gives the total attributes of; Atk +40 and Atk +4%. Here is the example computation, given the default Atk is 1435.

= (3% + 1% of 1435) + 30 + 10

= (4% of 1435) + 40

= (1435 * 1.04) + 40

= 1492.4 + 40

= 1532.4 or 1533.

6 Stacks of Frost Focus

What if we’ve 99 the 6 attributes, STR to 99, AGI to 99, VIT to 99, INT to 99, DEX to 99 and LUK to 99. It gives our character 6 stacks of Frost Focus. Which mean additional +6% ATK and +60 ATK. Here’s the computation for maxed-out stack, given the default ATK is 1435.

= (3% + 6% of 1435) + 30 + 60

= (9% of 1435) + 90

= (1435 * 1.09) + 90

= (1564.15) + 90

= 1654.15 or 1655.

Buff is not Working

If you think it’s not working in your character. You can check and verify it by getting the default ATK of your character. To get the default ATK, unequipped the Frost Masquerade Mask and check your Character’s stat ATK. Once you get the default ATK try using the formula below.

StacksFormulaExample
1(Default_Atk * 1.04) +40= (1435 * 1.04) + 40
= 1533
2(Default_Atk * 1.05) +50
= (1435 * 1.05) + 50
= 1557
3(Default_Atk * 1.06) +60 = (1435 * 1.06) + 60
= 1582
4(Default_Atk * 1.07) +70= (1435 * 1.07) + 70
= 1606
5(Default_Atk * 1.08) +80= (1435 * 1.08) + 80
= 1630
6(Default_Atk * 1.09) +90= (1435 * 1.09) + 90
= 1655

Compare the result of the computation with the mask equipped in your character. If it has the same result or close, it means it is working.

That’s it Guys! Hope this clarifies how the Frost Masquerade Mask additional skill works!
