The very first PlayStation console is back! Sony has announced the the release of it’s miniature version of the original Playstation Console that comes with a preloaded 20 PS1 games. The official name for this console is called PlayStation Classic, it is 40% smaller than the original and included a 2 full size PS1 controller. It will be release on December 3, exactly 24 years a fter the first original Playstation was release in Japan. The SRP of PlayStation Classic is PHP 6,190.
The first 5 announced games that are included on the 20 preloaded games in the console are the following:
- Final Fantasy VII
- Jumping Flash
- Ridge Racer Type 4
- Tekken 3
- Wild Arms
They may also included some of the popular PS1 games like Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid and more.
What’s new with this console is it is now powered with an HDMI cable, USB cable and the original wired ports controller. It’s probably powered via USB as it doesn’t comes with an AC adapter. For the DualShock controller, there’s no word yet from Sony.
The Playstation Classic will be available in the Philippines this December 3, 2018.
