How Long Does a Refund Take on PayMaya From Lazada Returned Item

A few weeks ago, we ordered the latest release of Asus Zenfone from Lazada. Unfortunately, the item we received is defective, and we immediately return the item to Lazada Warehouse. Filling up the request form, pack the package and return the item to nearby LBC branch.

After five days, our request for a refund was successful, and Lazada sends the refund to the payment method we use which is PayMaya. In the email, it says it takes 5 to 15 days for a local credit card or up to 45 days for international credit/debit card before we can receive the refund. And since PayMaya is a local credit card, it will fall to the 5 to 15 days time frame.

We’ve tried contacting PayMaya if it possible that we can get the refund early. They suggested that we have to wait for the committed 15 days time frame given from Lazada and if we don’t receive the refund on the given day, we can send a dispute letter to them for a request for reversal.

How long does it takes to receive refund on PayMaya from Lazada?

Exactly 15 days after the refund, we finally received the refund, and it was successfully reflected in the PayMaya app.

What if you don’t received the refund to PayMaya after 15 days?

You need to write a dispute letter to PayMaya to request for reversal. You send this dispute letter to BOS-PayMayaFulfillment@paymaya.com, and you need to put the following information in the dispute letter.

  • Complete Name and Address
  • Mobile Number you use in PayMaya
  • Merchant Name which is Lazada
  • Date of Transaction
  • Reference ID
  • Amount
  • You may also add other information like Lazada Order Number and the Lazada Seller

The dispute letter should explain why and how you get the refund from Lazada.

Together with the dispute letter, you also need to attach one valid ID and the screenshot you received from Lazada saying the refund was complete or the order dashboard from Lazada that has information that the refund was completed and successful.

How to return the Item to Lazada and get Refund?

First of all, your return should be valid. If the item you received is either defective, not in description or counterfeit, you’re eligible for a refund. But if you want to return the item for a change of mind, it has a high possibility that your request is rejected. You should also return the item within seven days after you received the item. It also depends on Seller’s description.

To return the item; first, you have to go to your Lazada Order dashboard and click the Return item. Fill up the form then it will show you the return form, print it.

You need to pack the item in its original packaging, all of the item should be in the package. Keep in mind, that LBC representative will inspect the item, so you don’t need to tape it. If its mobile device, LBC requires you to put it in a plastic container. Once done, put the return form inside the package. Don’t forget to add the return number on the bottom of LBC label sticker.
