Ragnarok X: Hyper Return, previously known as Ragnarok X: Next Generation, is ushering in the festive season with its eagerly awaited Christmas event. Despite a slight delay aligning with the traditional holiday period, this event, spanning 15 days, promises new activities for players.
Kicking off on December 20 and ends on January 3, 2023, it does not include January 4 as the event concludes with the server refresh. This special event brings back the joyous Christmas-themed map “Lutie” and the in-famous “Toy Factory map.” Here, adventurers can embark on various quests, with opportunities to get exclusive rewards such as mounts, the Garm pet, and Christmas-themed house furniture.

Event 1: Winter Sign-In (Daily Sign-in Rewards)
The first event in the Ragnarok X: Hyper Return Christmas celebration is the “Winter Sign-In,” an engaging daily login activity. Set in Lutie map, players have the opportunity to interact with the Santa Claus NPC each day to receive a variety of rewards. These rewards are essential items for participating in other event-specific activities. For example, you can use them to exchange for event materials, unlock gacha boxes, or as bait for catching the event-exclusive pet.
Every day that you visit Santa, you will be greeted with a set of rewards. These include:

If you stay consistent and log in daily throughout the 15-day event, you’ll accumulate a total of 45 Holly Leaves, 15 Sweet Winter Dream Boxes, and 30 Crystal Candy Balls. To sign-in, just go to Santa Claus NPC at the Lutie map and just click the Winter Sign-in button.
One of the exciting aspects of collecting these items, particularly the Crystal Candy Balls, is their role in capturing the Gram pet. With 30 Crystal Candy Balls in your inventory by the end of the event, you’ll have enough to attempt catching the Gram pet five times, with a focus on achieving the coveted S quality.
Event 2: Game Invasion Incident (Daily Quests)
The second event in Ragnarok X: Hyper Return’s Christmas celebration is the “Game Invasion Incident,” offering a series of dynamic daily quests. This event is divided into different phases, each with its own schedule. It’s important to note that while some activities may show as “Ended,” they are periodically refreshed, allowing for repeated participation – so please don’t get confused about it.
In this event, your goal is to complete a set of objectives to unlock various rewards. You need to complete at least five objectives to claim all five rewards available for that day.

Let’s break down the objectives you can choose from. You only need to complete any five of these, or you can complete all to maximize your rewards:

While most tasks in the Game Invasion Incident event are achievable for free-to-play players in Ragnarok X: Hyper Return, they do require a significant time commitment. Additionally, some objectives appear to favor certain classes, particularly those like Rangers and Mechanics, who excel in eliminating monsters from a distance and AOE damage. This class-specific advantage can make certain objectives more challenging for other players.
Another notable issue is the low probability of obtaining the necessary materials to complete these tasks. Therefore, if you value your time so much, I recommend you to only complete the Challenge Garm and few objectives. Not necessarily to complete all of objectives just to get the very few extra rewards.
Tips for Challenge Garm
The Challenge Garm is similar to Blazing Rune instance so your damage output and death counts are key factors. To maximize your chances of success and earn as many high-tier rewards as possible, forming a 5-man party is highly recommended. Those who are attempting to use the Chance Consumption multiplier to 3, it will not work 🙂
Aiming for at least an S rating, or better yet, an SS rating, should be your primary goal. Once you achieve these ratings, it’s important to adopt a more cautious strategy. At this stage, your focus should shift to preserving your rating. This means that once you’ve reached a high rating, you should avoid engaging further with Garm to prevent any additional deaths.

Please note that if you achieve a certain rating, you will receive all the rewards listed below it. You may attempt as many times as you wish, provided that the NPC is present in the Toy Factory during its designated hours.

Event 3: Pursuit Garm Baby (FREE Garm Pet)
The 3rd event, titled “Pursuit Garm Baby,” offers adventurers to obtain a free Garm pet. This event is closely linked with the rewards you accumulate from the daily sign-in, specifically the Crystal Candy Balls. By participating in the daily sign-in, you can gather up to 30 Crystal Candy Balls, which are crucial for attempting to catch the Garm pet. With these 30 balls, you have enough to make five attempts at catching Garm, ideally aiming to achieve an S quality pet.
You can also get Crystal Candy Ball by burning Odin, a 4,000
To initiate the process of catching the Garm pet, you’ll need to adjust your equipment and equip a Pet Slingshot as your weapon. Additionally, you should have at least 6 Crystal Candy Balls in your inventory for each attempt to catch Garm. You can find Garm at the top center of the Toy Factory, a specific location where this pet is available.

Event 4: MVP Hunting
A new event MVP will also be available for hunting to have a chance to get exclusive event cards, and costumes as well as event materials.
The MPV Garm will be spawning at the Toy Factory, for those who want to easily track this MVP, you can use our MVP Time tracker.
Event 5: Odin Burn
The Christmas event also includes Odin Burning event wherein as just as the previous event, you’ll be able to get event materials like Holly Leaf and other event mats that you can use at the Exchange Shop.

Event 6: Christmas Furniture Box
This event functions more like a shopping center for furnishing your in-game home. Essentially, the boxes being sold for Crystals offer items based on chance.
The other box, which can be obtained for PHP 5,690, provides a set of 16 pieces of furniture for your home. If you enjoy showcasing your home decoration skills, this event is definitely tailored for you.
