If you enjoy games like Animal Crossing but want something built around a larger shared world, Loftia is an upcoming cozy multiplayer game that takes the relaxing life-sim formula into the skies.
Set across floating islands, Loftia lets players farm, fish, craft, decorate their homes, meet NPCs and explore alongside friends. Players can also connect their own islands to form neighborhoods, take on group quests and venture into places like abandoned factories while discovering new areas and stories.
Beyond simply building a home, the game encourages players to work together on community projects that can unlock additional resources and even open new islands to explore. There are also animals to rescue and adopt, character customization and different farming systems to experiment with.
Loftia enters Early Access on November 3, 2026, launching first on Steam for PC and Mac. Nintendo Switch support is planned for later, while Steam Deck support is also expected at Early Access launch.
