Grand Theft Auto V is receiving another major community-made experience before GTA 6 arrives, as Rockstar Games officially supports the upcoming nopixel V role-playing mod. Developed by the nopixel team in collaboration with Rockstar, it represents the latest version of one of GTA V’s most popular role-playing communities.

Unlike a traditional GTA Online update, nopixel V is an independently developed community server featuring an overhauled city, refreshed visuals, new locations, detailed interiors, and expanded role-playing possibilities. Its official Rockstar support will also allow invited PC players to access the experience directly through the Rockstar Games Launcher.
The nopixel V closed beta begins on September 8, 2026, with invitations distributed in phases. The initial test will be limited to selected participants, but the developers plan to gradually expand access to more players over time.
Rockstar and nopixel have not confirmed whether the experience will be free, whether additional membership fees will apply, or when it will become publicly accessible. Players will likely need GTA V on PC, although its complete requirements and future access process have yet to be announced.
