A new Ragnarok game is officially in development, but this time, it is taking the series in a more story-focused direction.
RAGNAROK PROJECT is a new turn-based single-player RPG based on the world of Ragnarok, the long-running fantasy IP enjoyed by over 100 million players worldwide. Unlike the online MMORPG experience many fans know, this upcoming title focuses on a narrative-driven adventure with choices, consequences, and a reimagined version of the Ragnarok world.
The game is set in a familiar yet completely changed world where reality is beginning to collapse. Players will explore deserts, ruins, research facilities, and dimensional rift zones while uncovering hidden truths behind the disaster. The story also appears to revolve around difficult decisions, with the game teasing a journey where choices carry real weight.
Players will travel alongside different companions with distinct roles and combat styles, including Knights, Mages, Priests, Hunters, and more. The game also features dimensional distortions and mysteries surrounding the Heart of Ymir, which slowly begins to consume the world.
