Epic Mystery Game Reveal Tonight Shares Same Date as GTA V Became FREE

Six years later, could history repeat tonight?

On May 14, 2020, GTA V: Premium Edition became free on Epic Games Store, creating one of the biggest free game moments in the platform’s history. The timing alone made it unforgettable, with a major Rockstar title suddenly becoming available for PC players to claim and keep through Epic until May 21, 2020.

Now, six years later, that same date is back in focus. Epic’s mystery game promo returns tonight, and the first reveal for May 14, 2026 is expected to include two games instead of just one. That already makes the opening drop more interesting than usual, especially for players hoping Epic starts strong with a bigger-name title.

As for what the two games could be, Epic has only shown cryptic hints so far. Some fan guesses point to titles like Subnautica, partly because of the color clues and timing around Subnautica 2, while another popular guess is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order based on the second set of colors and teaser hints. Other names being floated include Hitman, Control, Dave the Diver, and Kena, but nothing is confirmed until the official reveal tonight. Whether it ends up being a true AAA surprise or a strong double-game lineup, the big question remains: could this be another one of Epic’s biggest mystery game drops?
