Sony has quietly lifted the regional restrictions for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut on PC, making the game finally available in more countries including the Philippines.

While Sony has not made any official press announcement, data from SteamDB (https://steamdb.info/sub/1025011/) confirms the change. The Steam Sub 1025011 package was last updated on October 27, 2025, at 16:45:22 UTC, marking the removal of previous region locks.
According to SteamDB, the package now lists activation availability across several Asian regions such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and South Korea, among others.
Despite the lifted restriction, the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut still requires a PlayStation Network (PSN) account for its online co-op mode and the PSN overlay — a requirement that previously sparked controversy among players.
The update has not yet been reflected on Sony’s or Steam’s official news pages, but this quiet change suggests a shift in regional accessibility, possibly in response to community feedback and ongoing discussions around PSN integration.
This move also aligns with Sony’s earlier action in June 2025, when it lifted region locks on four PC titles following the Stellar Blade controversy — a policy shift we previously reported here.
