Dying Light: The Beast is now out, Crane Returns as Half Human, Half Monster

The zombie horror game Dying Light is back with a monstrous twist. Dying Light: The Beast puts players once again in the shoes of Kyle Crane, who now struggles with the DNA of both man and monster. After years of experiments at the hands of the Baron, Crane escapes, only to face a new war inside himself. His human side seeks survival, while his beastly instincts hunger for destruction.

You can play the game right now on the following platforms:

A Darker Chapter in the Dying Light Saga

Unlike previous entries, The Beast dives deep into Crane’s transformation. Players can freely switch between two playstyles, harnessing either his human agility or his monstrous brutality. From crushing skulls to tearing enemies apart, the combat system pushes the series’ signature gore to new extremes.

Set in the zombie-infested Castor Woods, every step you take is a fight for survival. The open world features diverse biomes—tourist towns, farmlands, industrial zones, swamps, and national parks—all rich with detail and decay. As always, day and night play a crucial role: scavenge by daylight, then prepare for unrelenting terror once the sun sets.

Dying Light’s first-person parkour returns in its best form yet, letting players leap across rooftops, vault obstacles, and explore with fluid motion. And when movement alone isn’t enough, off-road vehicles let you plow through hordes with ruthless efficiency. The game rewards creativity—whether you’re climbing, fleeing, or fighting head-on.

Co-Op Survival

Just like the past entries, The Beast embraces multiplayer. Up to three other players can join you in co-op, experiencing every battle and story moment together with shared progress. Survival is brutal, but it’s always better with friends watching your back.

Visuals and Technical Update

Dying Light: The Beast was built with next-gen visuals to deliver a handcrafted apocalypse. From haunting forests to abandoned towns, every detail feels alive with beauty and decay.

However, Techland has temporarily disabled Ray Tracing features at launch to ensure players enjoy a smooth and stable experience. The developers confirmed that Ray Tracing will be re-enabled in a future update as soon as possible. Fans can look forward to improved lighting, reflections, and shadows once the feature returns.

Ultimate Edition Bonus

For longtime fans, there’s more good news: anyone who purchased the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2 Stay Human will receive Dying Light: The Beast at no additional cost.

Dying Light: The Beast expands the series’ zombie horror legacy by introducing Crane’s half-human, half-monster transformation, a darker open world, and evolved combat mechanics. With its mix of survival, parkour, and co-op play, the game promises a brutal yet unforgettable journey.
