Ragnarok X Next Generation has introduced an exciting new event called the Universal Buyback, aimed at addressing a major issue in the game’s economy. Over time, the Exchange Center has become overstocked with items, making it difficult for players to sell their goods. This event tackles that problem by guaranteeing a way to sell items, no matter what they are.
The event will start today, December November 11, 2024, and end on November 30, 2024 (20 Days).
How the Universal Buyback Event Works
With this event, players can sell almost any item from their inventory, especially items that have been sitting unsold or taking up space. The Universal Buyback provides a straightforward selling opportunity for players, making it ideal for those who have accumulated unusable or stagnant items.
However, there’s a limit: each sale requires a voucher, and each voucher lets you sell up to 10,000 Crystals worth of items. The maximum you can sell is up to 7.77 million Crystals, but vouchers are necessary for each sale.
Earning Vouchers Through Daily Hunts
Vouchers are free, but you need to earn them by participating in daily MVP and Mini Boss hunts and completing the daily carnival. Players can collect up to 13 vouchers per day:
Here is the breakdown:
Daily | 20 Days | |
MVP/Mini Hunting | 2 to 6 Vouchers (mostly 2) | 160 Vouchers |
Daily Carnival | 5 Vouchers | 100 Vouchers |
TOTAL in Crystals | 13 Vouchers or equivalent to 130,000 Crystals | 260 Vouchers or equivalent to 2,600,000 Crystals |
Note: Due to the variability in MVP/Mini Boss hunts, players can earn between 2 to 6 vouchers from each hunt, but mostly 2 vouchers. To simplify this guide, we will use 2 vouchers per hunt as a baseline. With this assumption, players can accumulate a minimum of 260 vouchers over the entire event, allowing them to earn up to 2.6 million Crystals over 20 days.
Increasing the Voucher Limit / Quota
It’s important to wait for the event to begin and confirm the official details before following guides found elsewhere online that might have incorrect information. Following inaccurate advice could lead to unexpected financial losses or wasted resources.
Item | Description |
Exchange Center Buyback Voucher (Consumables) | Use Buyback Vouchers in the trade Universal Buyback event to trade in items that can be listed in the Crystal Exchange Center. Each voucher can cover 10,000 crystals worth of items. Where to get: Daily Carnival, MVP/Mini Boss Hunting and Exchange Center |
Buyback Voucher Booster (Consumables) | Increases the Exchange Center Buyback Voucher usage limit by 1 per card. Where to get: Universal Buyback Milestone Rewards |
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY: The Universal Buyback milestone rewards don’t give you more vouchers for selling items—they give you Buyback Voucher Booster. These boosters allow you to exceed the 100-voucher limit or quota.
So, instead of extra vouchers to sell more items, you’re actually getting a higher quota on how many vouchers you can use in the whole duration of the event. By default, each player can only use up to 100 vouchers only. For example, below, we used 2 Voucher Limit Boosters, and we were able to increased the Exchange Center Buyback Voucher Usage to 102.
Here’s how the milestone works:
- Spend 1,000,000 Crystals at the Exchange Center to receive the first 100 Voucher Limit Booster, which raises your quota limit to 200 vouchers.
- Spend another 1,000,000 Crystals to unlock the next level, allowing you to use up to 300 vouchers.
For the whole duration of the event, you’ll have a total of 260 vouchers from MVP/Mini boss hunting and daily carnival, so it’s essential to reach the 2,000,000 Crystals milestone if you want to use up to 300 vouchers before the end of the event.
What trash/unused Item to Sell in Universal Buyback
For the best returns in the Universal Buyback, prioritize selling unused equipment obtained from Nightmare dungeons and other instances. These items tend to have a higher resale value, making them ideal choices for maximizing Crystals.
Tips for Efficient Selling
To make the most of your vouchers, aim to round off the Crystal amount you’re selling. For instance, if you have 6 vouchers, you can sell up to 60,000 Crystals worth of items in total. If your items add up to 57,000 Crystals, look for additional unused items worth 3,000 Crystals to reach 60,000 or very close to that amount. This way, you’re fully using your vouchers and maximizing your Crystal gains without any waste.
