AFK Farming and Fatigue System Guide in Ragnarok Origin

In the world of massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) like Ragnarok Origin (ROO), the desire to progress and level up your character is one of the essential aspects of having a stronger character. For many players, this means utilizing the time-honored method of farming – the act of repetitively eliminating monster to earn experience points (EXP). In some cases, players may choose to engage in AFK (away from keyboard) farming, allowing their characters to level up even while they are not actively participating in the game. However, in Ragnarok Origin, this has been capped with the Fatigue system in place.

In this article, we will explore the mechanics of AFK farming in Ragnarok Origin (ROO), along with the advantages and disadvantages of the game’s fatigue system.

Take Aways

Here are some important take aways from this guide:

  1. You can only grind for EXP and Item drops for 155 Minutes per day, after that you’ll get Fatigued status.
  2. During the Fatigued State, you can activate Monster Annihilation to still get monster drop.
  3. Blessing Time is required to activate Monster Annihilation and it can be obtained by completing 100 Daily activity for 30 minutes of Blessing Time.
  4. Important to use Lucky Candy when activating Monster Annihilation to take advantage of the times 2 drops on the top of 6x chance drop.
  5. Obtaining Blessing Time is currently bugged, dev is looking at it.
  6. Rested EXP is your unused Field Battle Time.

The Fatigue System in Ragnarok Origin

Ragnarok Origin incorporates a fatigue system that aims to balance the playing field for all adventurers. This system puts a cap on the amount of experience a player can earn from AFK farming, ensuring that players can’t progress too far ahead of others by simply leaving their characters to farm while they are away from the game. While the fatigue system may initially seem like a hindrance, it serves a valuable purpose in fostering a more equitable gaming environment.

Players are allotted a daily limit of 150 minutes for AFK grinding. Within this time, player can receive base and job experience, drops like materials, cards, specimens and dolls from eliminating monsters. Once you reached this limit, your character will get a Fatigued status.

In Fatigued status, you will not earn any experience from eliminating monsters in the wild, as well as item drops. However, you can still use this time to get Magic Dolls and Elemental Specimens or complete the Monster research (This monster research is you have to eliminate all types of monsters in the game like a collection to unlock bonus stats). You can also activate Monsters Annihilation which gives your players a chance to get item drops with up to times 6 the chances.

Monster Annihilation with Lucky Candy

An additional feature in Ragnarok Origin is the Monster Annihilation Duration, which becomes available when your character is in Fatigued status. Activating this feature enables you to obtain items and cards from defeated monsters, except you cannot obtain base and job experience points. Moreover, the drop rate during Monster Annihilation Duration increases by up to six times, providing players with a valuable opportunity to collect valuable items.

To activate the Monster Annihilation Duration, players must first accumulate Blessing Time. This can be achieved by reaching 100 Daily Activity points, which can be tracked through the Event menu in the game. For every 100 Daily Activity points, players will receive 30 minutes of Blessing Time.

It’s essential to use Blessing Time wisely to maximize its benefits. Players can accumulate up to 210 minutes of Blessing Time – equivalent to seven days of saving this valuable resource. This allows for flexibility in deciding when and how to use the accumulated Blessing Time, such as saving it for a single day use, extended grinding session on weekends or using it sporadically throughout the week.

To further optimize the Monster Annihilation Duration, players are advised to use “Lucky Candy” during these grinding sessions. This consumable item grants double item drops, making it an essential tool for maximizing item collection during Monster Annihilation.

Rested EXP

The in-game description of Rested EXP in Ragnarok Origin can be somewhat confusing, leaving many adventurers curious about how it works. To clarify, Rested EXP is derived from any unused portion of your daily 150-minute Field Battle Time. If you do not use up your entire Field Battle Time in a given day, the remaining amount will be converted to Rested Base and Job experience on the following day and stored as Rested EXP. This accumulated Rested EXP can then be used during your grinding sessions, in addition to your current Field Battle Time.

For players with a Kafra VIP, you can stack up to three days of unused Field Battle Time. This feature is particularly useful for those who may not have the opportunity to grind daily but would like to engage in longer grinding sessions on specific days.

Bugs on Obtaining Blessing Time

Update as of 04/09/2023: The developer already fixed the Blessing Time, you can now obtain it without any problem.

At the time of writing, players on the Ragnarok Origin SEA server have encountered a bug that prevents them from obtaining Blessing Time even if reaching 100 Activity Points. When attempting to activate Monster Annihilation Duration, they are met with a message stating, “Blessing time is 0, can’t activate Blessing.” This issue is currently being investigated by the game’s developers.

Players can continue to focus on other aspects of the game, such as completing quests, participating in events, or engaging in other in-game activities. Once the Blessing Time bug has been resolved, players will be able to fully utilize the Monster Annihilation Duration feature to optimize their AFK farming sessions.
