Poring Gold Coin Update Falls Short of Expectations in Ragnarok X Next Generation (ROX)

The recent update to Poring Gold Coin mechanics in Ragnarok X Next Generation has sparked controversy among the game’s community. Poring Gold Coin was initially introduced to offer an alternative to using Zeny to transfer equipment. This item is useful during KVM for players looking to change to PVP equipment without spending huge amount of Zeny, but its mechanics have changed with the Umbala update.

One of the most significant changes – is that Poring Gold Coin will no longer cover equipment transfers that cost less than 3 million Zeny. Previously, players could use Poring Gold Coin to transfer any item, regardless of its cost. Now, only equipment transfers that cost above 3 million Zeny will be covered by Gold Coin, up to a maximum of 5 million Zeny.

For example, if your equipment transfer cost is 1.5 million Zeny, you won’t be able to use Poring Gold Coin for that transfer. However, if your equipment transfer cost is 3.5 million Zeny, you can use Poring Gold Coin to cover 500,000 Zeny, and you’ll have to pay the remaining 3,000,000 Zeny.

This update is likely to affect free-to-play players more than big spenders, as they often transfer lower-priced items that are not covered by Poring Gold Coin. In contrast, players with expensive Gold equipment will benefit more from the update.

Ragnarok X Next Generation even announces a new way of obtaining Poring Gold Coin such as getting it from Ultimate Showdown, Daily Instance, Endless Tower, MVP/Mini Hunting and reduces the amount of Gold Poring to 1,000 Crystals from Crystal Shop. Many players had high hopes that these changes would make equipment transfers more accessible, allowing them to participate more in KVM schedules. However, the recent update to Poring Gold Coin mechanics has left many players disappointed.
