Class Balancing Changes in Ragnarok X Next Generation: Who Gets Nerfed and Who Gets Buffed?

After much anticipation, the latest class balancing updates for Ragnarok X Next Generation (ROX) have finally unveiled, and players are eager to see whether their favorite class has been buffed or nerfed. Surprisingly, most of the classes have received significant buffs in this update, with the exception of the Dancer and Sage class receiving a few nerf, and Priest with no improvements at all. Though Rune Knight received significant boost, the sword crit type and vit type still lacking on this update.

In this article, we have compiled all the changes made to the classes, as posted on the official Ragnarok X Next Generation Facebook page, in an easy-to-read format. All text marked with strike lines represents the old stats, while bold text highlights the new changes.

Ignores Stun Resistance

Players doing KVM will probably hearing this update bad news for those who has 3 pcs Accessories Card Stun resistance (33% Stun RES), or an Orc Lord Card (100% Stun RES) as the class Assassin and Rune Knight (Spear) has a new effect that ignores the Stun Resistance. Still not sure how much the exact deduction players will receive on KVM, but you can check this information below.

Who get’s Nerf?

The only class the gets nerf during these updates are the Dancer and Sage class, Dancer’s casting radius is down to 5 meters and Sage’s shield is down to 900%.

The only class that will be having a nerf on its casting area.

Increases the damage dealt to Brute, Insect, and Fish monsters by (Percentage Parameter 1) during the combat. With additional effect of Each 100 DEX increases an additional 0.1% x Skill Level.

Electric Shock
Base Skill
Deals wind attribute P.DMG equal to (DEX + 100) x ((10 + INT / 10) * 175%) * 780 (DEX + 100) x ((10 + INT / 2) * 175%) * 780 to all enemies within range.

Claymore Trap
Base Skill
Deals fire attribute P.DMG equal to (DEX + 100) x ((10 + INT / 10) * 175%) * 780 (DEX + 100) x ((10 + INT / 2) * 175%) * 780 to all enemies within range.

Freezing Trap
Base Skill
Deals Water attribute P.DMG equal to (DEX + 100) x ((10 + INT / 10) * 175%) * 780 (DEX + 100) x ((10 + INT / 2) * 175%) * 780 to all enemies within range.

Land Mine
Base Skill
Deals earth attribute P.DMG equal to (DEX + 100) x ((10 + INT / 10) * 175%) * 780 (DEX + 100) x ((10 + INT / 2) * 175%) * 780 to all enemies within range.

Deadly Shot
Base Skill
Each arrow deals weapon attribute P.DMG equal to 75% (68% + 12% x Skill Level) of P.ATK.

Deadly Shot
Shadow Equipment Skill
Increases the damage coefficient of No Limits by (6* x Skill Level + 21%) (22% x Skill Level + 48%) and have healing-received reduction coefficient by (4% x Skill Level +14%)

Sage

Earth Grave
Base Skill
Turn rocks within a specified 4-meter area into hard spears that stab out from the ground under the enemy’s feet, dealing 300% Earth attribute M.DMG and reducing the MSPD of targets within range by 30% for 3 seconds 60% for 4 seconds. Fixed cooldown from 7 seconds to 6 seconds.

Spell Fist
Base Skill
Enchants the weapon, granting yourself the Spell Fish state. Spell Fish changes the attribute of your weapon to a corresponding element depending on the consumed medium (Great Earth/Flame Heart/Mystic Frozen/Rough Wind). Normal attacks made while Spell Fist is in effect have a 20% chance to additionally deal corresponding attribute M.DMG equal to 10% x M.ATK 30% x M.ATK to target 6 times. With additional effect of while the Spell Fish is active, the Final Hit is increased by an extra (1% x Skill Level) and every 50 INT increases an additional 1% of the Final Hit.

Spell Fist II
Shadow Equipment Skill
Increases your Magic Lifesteal by (1% x Skill Level + 2%). Each normal attack has a (4% x Skill Level + 10%) chance of releasing fan-shaped shock waves that deal (6% x Skill Level +12%) (24% x Skill Level + 48%) corresponding attribute DMG to the target and all targets within the 120-degree area directly behind the target.

Spirit Possession – Flame Tyrant
Shadow Equipment Skill
While possessed by Fire Element, additionally increases your MSPD by 2. Every 5 seconds, if your lost HP exceeds 30% of your Max HP, you immediately recover (3% x Skill Level + 6%) HP. During this time, every normal attack deals an additional from (5% x Skill Level + 10%) to (15% x Skill Level + 30%) fire attribute M.DMG to targets.

Summon Spirit
Shadow Equipment Skill
(NERF)
The elemental spirit’s HP will exist in the form of a Shield with an HP value equal to Sorcerer’s M.ATK 2,000% 900%. With added note of (The shield’s value will be affected by the Max HP increases in percentage)

After triggering Battle Will through a normal attack, Final P.DMG Bonus is increased by (1% x Skill Level) (3% x Skill Level). Stacks up to 3 times. Lasts 5 seconds.

Battle Will II

After triggering Battle Will through a normal attack, PVP P.DMG Bonus is increased by (1% x Skill Level) (3% x Skill Level). Stacks up to 3 times. Lasts 5 seconds.

Impulsive Slash I
Shadow Equipment Skill
Increases the trigger rate for Impulsive Slash by (0.5% x Skill Level) (3% x Skill Level). If there is only one enemy within range, the skill damage will be increased by (10% x Skill Level).

Impulsive Slash II
Shadow Equipment Skill
Increases the trigger rate for Impulsive Slash by (0.5% x Skill Level) (3% x Skill Level + 9%). With each additional enemy appearing in the range, the skill damage will be increased by (8% x Skill Level).

Gene Upgrade I

Increases your Final P.DMG RED by (9% x Skill Level) (3% x Skill Level).

Gene Upgrade II

Increases your PVP Final P.DMG RED by (9% x Skill Level) (3% x Skill Level).

War Axe

When the normal attack or Impulsive Slash deals double damage, inflicts the target with 1 stack of Bleed. Stacks up to 8 times and last for 6 seconds. Each stack of Bleed deals weapon attribute P.DMG equal to (7% x Skill Level + 15%) (25% x Skill Level + 63%) of P.ATK + INT x 8 x SL + INT x 20 P.ATK + INT x 20 x SL + INT x 40 every seconds.

Assassin

Shadow Equipment Skill
Whenever you land a critical attack with your normal attacks, Sonic Blow’s cooldown is decreased by an additional (0.08 x Skill Level + 0.2%) seconds. Also increases Supersonic Blow’s damage by (16% x Skill Level + 40%) and ignores (8% x Skill Level + 20%) of the target’s Stun RES.

Hiding
Base Skill
After using this skill, you maintain 175% of your MSPD for 5 seconds and enter the Hiding state, becoming undetectable to enemies. Actively attacking, taking damage or being affected by anti-stealth will cancel the Hiding effect. When normal attacks remove this skill’s Hiding effect, applies an Assassination mark onto the first target you attack. This mark lasts for 3 seconds 6 seconds. Your subsequent attacks will deal 45% increased damage to the marked target.

Cross Impact
Base Skill
Flashes to a designated location and inflicts Cross Impact on all enemies within 3-meter radius, dealing weapon attribute P.DMG equal to 360% + P.ATK + 6% of target’s Max HP 6% of target’s Max HP (does not apply to Boss monsters) + 80 x the target’s VIT. Each successful execution recovers 3% of your lost HP. Each hit reduces the skill’s cooldown by 2 seconds 1 seconds. Fixed cooldown of 12 seconds 6 seconds.

Rogue

Base Skill
Increases the skill range of Bow Normal Attack, Assault, Ranged Toxic Attack, Double Strafing, Repeated Shot, Triangle Slot, and Bone Rotting Arrow by (0.4 x Skill Level) meters.

With added effect of Each point of STR increases Hit by 1.

Shadow Spell
Base Skill
Enters the Shadow Spell state after using the skill, during which the Normal Attack, Double Strafing, Repeated Shot, or Triangle Slot deals weapon attribute P.DMG equal to 3% x Skill Level 7.5% x Skill Level of the original skill to nearby enemies within a 4-meter radius. Damage dealt by the Shadow Spell has a chance of triggering crits. The Shadow Spell state lasts for 6 seconds.

Phantom Raid

When Hiding, adds (Skill Level +2) extra stacks of Ghost Power and increases damage dealt by Ghost Power by (5% of Skill Level + 12%) (10% of Skill Level + 24%) and Final Hit by (10% x Skill Level + 24%). Once the Hiding ends, increases MSPD by 200 and Final DMG Reduction by (5% * Skill Level + 10%) for 3 seconds.

Each normal attack that hits a target reduces their Final Flee by (1% 0.2% x Skill Level) and the Final Anti-Crit by (1%+ 0.2% x Skill Level) grants the party members within 30 meters a stack of the Dark Flame effect. Each stack of Dark Flame increases the Final Hit by (1%+ 0.2% x Skill Level) and the Final Crit by (1% +0.2% x Skill Level). Stacks up to 12 times and lasts for 4 seconds.

Double Blow
Base Skill
When using a Sword, each normal attack has a 20% chance (every 50 LUK increases an additional 1%) of dealing bonus neutral attribute bonus weapon attribute melee P.DMG equal to (50% P.ATK + 200) that ignores DEF. If not marl attack is critical, the bonus damage will be also critical.

Keen Spear
Base Skill
Grants 1 stack of Riftwind Blade effect every time a normal attack triggers a crit, increasing Final Crit DMG Bonus by 3% for 3 seconds. Stacks up to 6 times. Upon reaching the maximum stacks, applies the Rupture effect on the critical attacks, dealing weapon attribute melee P.DMG equal to 10% of the P.ATK P.DMG equal to 100% of the P.ATK (can Crit).

Spiral Pierce
Base Skill
Twirls the spear and rapidly thrusts at an enemy target, dealing weapon attribute melee P.DMG equal to (STR x 40 + 850% of P.ATK) to a single enemy. A spear must be equipped when using the skill. Cooldown 5 seconds. With added effect of (Every 60 STR increases the P.ATK coefficient by an additional 1% x SL) (Up to 2,000% increase in coefficient)

Explosive Break
Base Skill
Unleashing a downward attack with a weapon, causing the ground to erupt in a violent explosion, inflicting fire attribute melee P.DMG equal to 300% of the P.ATK to enemies within 4-meter range. This skill can trigger crits, and the cooldown for the skill is reduced by 1 seconds 2 seconds every time a crit is triggered by a normal attack. With added effect of (Every 80 STR increases the P.ATK coefficient by an additional 1% of Skill Level) (Up to 1,500% increase in coefficient) Also inflicts a 25% Slow effect on the target within range for 12 seconds. Stacks up to 3 times, maximum 75%.

Brandish Spear
Base Skill
Raise the weapon and deal neutral attribute melee P.DMG equal to 620% to a single enemy, reducing the MSPD and ASPD of the target by 40% for 4 seconds. Using a spear inflicts an additional 20% damage. Can only by used while mounted. Fixed Cooldown 5 seconds 6 seconds. With added effect of: (Every 60 STR increases the P.ATK coefficient by an additional 1% x Skill Level) (Up to 2,000% increase in coefficient).

Keen Spear II
Shadow Equipment Skill
Increases the damage coefficient of Riftwind Blade’s Final Crit DMG Bonus by (0.25% x Skill Level + 0.5%) and that of Bonus P.DMG by (0.8% x Skill Level +2%) (8% x Skill Level + 20%).

Brandish Spear II
Shadow Equipment Skill
Decreases the fixed cooldown of Brandish Spear by (0.25% x Skill Level + 0.7) and has a (2.5% x Skill Level + 5%) chance to inflict the same effect on enemies within 3 meters of the target while additionally stunning them by ignoring (8% x Skill Level + 20%) of their Stun Resistance for 2 seconds.

Head Crush II
Shadow Equipment Skill
When Head Crush is active, increases PVP Final P.DMG Bonus by (2.5% x Skill Level +5%) PVP Final P.DMG Bonus and PVP Final P.DMG RED by (4% x Skill Level + 8%) and PVP Debuff RED by (2% x SL + 4%).

Double Blow II
Shadow Equipment Skill
Increases Double Blow’s trigger rate by (5% x Skill Level + 10%) and its skill effect by from (4% x Skill Level + 20%) to (8% x Skill Level + 20%).

Dark Flame Sword
Shadow Equipment Skill
From Enhances the effect applied to target by Dark Flame Sword, decreasing Final Flee by an extra (0.2% x Skill Level +1%) and their Final Anti-Crit by an extra (0.2% x Skill Level + 1%). Increases the duration of Dark Flame Sword by (0.6 x Skill Level + 2) seconds. Increases the Final Hit and Final Crit effect of each attack of Dark Flame by (0.2% x Skill Level + 1%) and increases PVP Final P.DMG RED PVP Final P.DMG Bonus of each stack by (0.12% x Skill Level +0.3%)
