The Game Awards 2022 Winners, Elden Ring is the Game of the Year

The Game Awards is an annual event that celebrates the best of the video game industry and the most prestigious award show for video games in the world. This year, the event took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on December 9. It was hosted by Geoff Keighley, creator and producer of The Game Awards.

The awards show was livestreamed on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube Gaming and Steam. On Steam, they even giving away their Steam Deck device every minute of the show. There were several world premieres of new games like STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor, DUNE: The Awakening and Death Stranding 2.

BEST SCORE AND MUSIC goes to Bear McCreary for God of War Ragnarok.

BEST ACTION goes to Bayonetta 3.

BEST SPORTS/RACING goes to Gran Turismo 7.

BEST MULTIPLAYER goes to Splatoon 3.

BEST AUDIO DESIGN goes to God of War Ragnarök.

MOST ANTICIPATED goes to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

GAMES FOR IMPACT goes to As Dusk Falls

BEST COMMUNITY SUPPORT goes to FINAL FANTASY XIV

BEST SIM/STRATEGY goes to Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.

BEST ESPORTS GAME goes to Valorant

BEST VR/AR goes to Moss: Book II

BEST ART DIRECTION goes to Elden Ring.

BEST NARRATIVE goes to God of War Ragnarok
