Developed by Level Infinite (A developer studio of Tencent Games for Global audience) and Hotta Studio, the Tower of Fantasy is an upcoming shared open-world RPG game that will be released later this year for PC and mobile devices (iOS and Android).
Players who wish to try this game will have a chance to participate on their Closed Beta Testing (CBT) registration which will starts today up to March 28, 2022. However, it is only available for United States, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom and Germany. For Philippines, you might need a VPN to try this one. There maybe resemblance to Mihoyo’s Genshin Impact, but Tower of Fantasy focus more deeply on sci-fi theme where players can fight robotic bosses that has similarities from the robot in Horizon Forbidden.
The Tower of Fantasy embarks players into a vast alien world where the human founded a new civilization that created a planet called Aida. The new planet has this mysterious resources that holds potent energy called Omnium, in which humans exploits this resources and consequently resulted the occurrence of Calamity and temporal lift that almost destroyed the entire Aida Civilization. Players can explore futuristic structures, open vistas, interact and fight epic battles with bosses that unlocks players fighting style. Players can party up with other players to explore the backstories of each character and this vibrant living world.
Characters
Players can pick up to 4 characters:
- Meryl “Rosy Edge” – Using an icy Claymore, Meryl is a Senior Executor for Hykros who excelled in the most dangerous missions thanks to outstanding sword-fighting and combat skills. Keeps her distance from everyone and hides her feelings to herself, but that doesn’t mean she is emotionless.
- Samir “Dual EM Stars” – Wield with a lightning Dual Pistol, Samir is a laidback free-spirit, but a top gunslinger even among elite Executors. Often plays jokes and pranks on others for fun.
- Shiro “Chakram of the Seas” – Grievous Chakram. Talking about the sea is practically the only way to have a conversation with this laser-focused scientist. She altered a key gear on a desalination device into a defensive weapon that’s tough and resilient.
- Zero “Negating Cube” – Fire enhanced Cube. This computer genius who appears to be 15 in age. He has deliberately destroyed all records of his real name and other pertinent info. Witty, very competitive and prideful, ignores anything he sees as meaningless to him.
