Good news to all retro gamers! The classic Metal Slug in 90s is back, a 2D run and gun action shooting game developed by Nazca Corporation and SNK is planned to release an all-new Metal Slug later this year that will be available for game consoles like the PS4, XBOX One and Neogeo boxes. Aside from this, another Metal Slug game is also in the works with the help of Tencent that will be available for mobile devices.
First teased on April 2020, SNK Corporation executive director Se-Hwan Jeon announced that a new metal slug game will be release in game consoles along with their Neogeo version 2 and version 3 boxes.
Morever, a mobile game is currently in development with Tencent. Different from the original 2D run and gun action game, the new mobile game is a 2D card type game based from the original Metal Slug. The game is currently 80 percent in completion and will be release for both iOS and Android devices this year.
