Unlike the original game client, you need to download and install the 700 mb file size into your computer before you can play. While the online mod version is super lightweight, download its game assets that take about 3 to 5 minutes and that’s it, you’re in.
All of the original maps like de_dust, cs_assault and de_dust 2 are included in the game. There are also multiple servers that you join for different maps and modes. As we tried the game, we experienced some high ping and noticeable lags, but overall playable.
Although the GUI is different from the original, all of the game controls are still using the same key binding; like “B” for the Buy menu and “,.” for purchasing ammunition. It’s literally the Counter Strike 1.6 that are just ported into web version.
However, this game is not authorized by Valve and can be taken down at any time. Make sure you to try it out before it’s gone.
