It’s been a good day since you get the super popular game Grand Theft Auto V from Epic Mystery Game giveaway, you waited for long hours to download the 90GB installation files and you’ve finally installed it on your system. You’re too excited, and when you try to start the game and boom, an error pop ups that says “PlayGTAV.exe – Application Error, The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application”. It’s frustrating right?
You’ve then search in the internet for solution on how to fix this error but to no avail you cannot find any.
Install Rockstar Games Launcher
The first common fix for this error is by installing the Rockstar Games Launcher which basically contains all of the required files for their games.

After installation, try playing the game again. If didn’t fix, proceed on other steps below.
MSVCP100.dll is Missing
There are many ways to fix this error. But will laid out the most common issue for this, this is about the Microsoft Visual C++ module is missing in your system, specifically the MSVCP100.dll. It can be fix by reinstalling these missing files.
You can install this module at the following:

- Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 RP (x64) – https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632
Download and install the program. After try starting Grand Theft Auto V again if it fixes the error.
Troubleshooting
In case the above fixes didn’t solve the problem. There are ways to troubleshoot it and look for other missing files. This is by using the Dependency Walker that runs on Windows 8 and below OS.
Download it at dependencywalker.com.
Then start the program, then File > Open > Find the GTAV.exe > Open it.
This will load the program at Dependency Walker and will show the error at the bottom of the page, linking the missing files.
