If you’re a content creator or a gamer and you receive a rendered video file from a Google Drive and have to be uploaded to YouTube, you usually download this file and reupload it again. It is because there is no current support for a direct transfer of videos from Google Drive to YouTube. However, there are some workaround to achieve this, by using the old upload page of YouTube and the Google Photos.

For this guide, we will show you how to transfer videos from Google Drive to YouTube without downloading it. We will also make sure to update this how-to article yearly.

Step 1: Google Photos
First, you need to go to photos.google.com.
At the upper center of the page, you’ll see an Upload button, click it.
Then on the pop-up, select Google Drive.
Now, select the videos that you want to transfer to YouTube. (At the Recent tab, you can find all of the newly uploaded videos , or at the Shared with me tab for the recently shared video link.)
Once done selecting the videos to transfer, click the Upload button at the bottom of the page.
Step 2: YouTube Upload Classic
The next step is to transfer the videos from Google Photos to Youtube. To do this, you just have to access the old YouTube upload classic.
To access it, go to www.youtube.com/upload.
You should see a button on the upper right corner that says “Upload with Classic“.
There are pop-up instruction that tells you about their new uploader, just click the Go to Legacy Uploader, and click skip at the feedback form.
When you’re in the upload classic, there will be an Import Videos on the right corner of the page. Click the Import button.
Select the videos that you want to upload in YouTube. Once you’re done selecting click Select at the bottom left corner of the page.
It will take some few seconds to processed the videos.
Done!
Finally, your videos are successfully transferred from Google Drive to YouTube. All you have to do right now is edit the title, description, and tags and Publish the video.
