Steam Summer sale is finally out and as always they have a new mini-game that you can play to earn points using for this year summer sale. The new mini game is the Summer Alien game where you’ll defend your Salien’s Deal-tection Station to earn points while it locates the game and you’ll have to shoot the enemies with ray gun.
Unfortunately, not all can play the game because of the error they’re getting when playing the game. Most user received this error “There was an error loading required game content. Your game will be restarted.” and restarting the game doesn’t fix the problem, the error still pop-ups and immediately returned to the menu screen.
How to Fix Error Loading Required Game Content in Steam Summer Saliens
To fixed this error, do not double click when entering a level – just click once and it will fix the problem.
Since the game is made out of pure HTML5 and javascript (PixiJS), the problem is probably caused by a double trigger event when user tries to double click the level. The game initialize the level twice and the game detected an error.
Alternate Solution:
If the above doesn’t work, you could try playing the game in incognito-mode or simply clear the cache of your browser. After that, login to Steam and Play the game again.
Some people are still getting the same error when completing a round. We found a way to get rid of this by opening Ctrl + Shift + I Developer Tools from your browser, then go to Network tab, then Check the Disable cache.
