We’ve heard last week from their developer that the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds just reach their 60fps target on running the game in the XBox One system. And lot’s of people are excited and expecting that the game will run on those frame rate.
Unfortunately, that target 60fps in the game is not going to happen for now. Brendan tweet on his Tweeter account, saying:
The XBOX build of Battlegrounds will run at 30fps wheter you’ve got a a bog standard console or a fancy Xbox One X.
We know that XBox One X has a major improvement in its built in graphics card and there should be no problem running the game in 60fps, but the reason Green said that is because – some Xbox version like the XBox One and XBox One S has lower GPU and cannot keep up with the average frame rate of 60fps and by that – it will be a disadvantage for some player that stuck in 30fps and other are in 60 fps. To avoid outcry, Greene decided the game to be locked for 60fps at the moment.
He also added that they’re constantly refining the game and exploring other possibilities to increase the FPS, this early in dev, and they’re unable to confirm more.
It is understandable and a good move for PUBG that they locked the fps in 30 as this will make other people angry and to avoid people ranting at the review page – because of the low FPS.
The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will arrived on XBox One next week December 12, 2017.
